Love Naomi but it's not quiiite right and we have no Jewish connection.

Penelope ? I know it is more than three syllables, but does have a similar feel.
(as PP mentioned, Naomi was the mother-in-law of Ruth in the bible, not the mother. )

How about Teoni? I know a girl about 14/15 with this name and I've never heard of anyone else with it. Pronounced "tee-OH-nee".

I once had a Japanese penfriend whose daughter was called Naomi. It’s a Japanese Amelia also but I’ve absolutely no idea how he pronounced it.
Ngaio — pronounced Ny-oh
Ngaire - Anglicised as Nyree
Both the above Maori names.

Only name I can think of that is 3 syllables, starts with N and hasn't been suggested is Nerina. I knew of a little Italian Nerina and thought the name was so pretty.

You could use the more Continental version, Noemie or Noemi? Very pretty.

Naomi isn't a specifically Jewish name, OP - it's biblical but when I meet a little Naomi I don't assume her parents are religious Christians or Jews, if you see what I mean. There's also an Arabic version so very cross-cultural. It's very beautiful!

You might also like Nadine, Nadia/Nadya, Nadege, Nova, Elodie, Elise, Celine (or Selene), Helen, Phoebe, Melody, Celeste, Noelia or Noelle, Seraphine (or Serafina if you want to get to 4 syllables!), Gabrielle, Estelle, Eloise, Aleida?
