Baby sister for Eric

I need inspiration for our baby due next year. Big sister is Eric. DH has already vetoed Lucinda, Nancy, Miranda and Phyllis. Middle name will likely be Ruth

Eric (even with this spelling rather than with a K) always says Viking to me rather than "old- man trend" (a la Alfred, Stanley etc) so I'd stick with similar short, sweet, popular in Scandinavia names like:
Astrid, Vera, Elise, Alma, Elsa, Ingrid, Clara, Alva, Stella, Alice, Esther, Leah, Frida, Nora.

Well dd would have been Eric if she was a boy, but was called Florence instead, so how about Florence?

Love some of these suggestions! We had Meredith as a definite then found out she's a girl and changed our minds 🤦🏼‍♀️

How about Lydia ?

Grooticle · 10/12/2020 06:54

Many years ago I knew a pair of sisters called Erica and Heather, it was deliberate because Erica means heather, the mum liked that that they had connected names.

welliesarefuntowear · 10/12/2020 06:44

I'd avoid anything beginning with C/K unless you are 100% stopping at two, as Eric, /Cuh/-name and next-child-name is too clunky to say.

Eric and Ruth actually goes well.

Otherwise, Eric and

Ava Ruth
Eleanor Ruth
Maisie Ruth
Sophie Ruth
