Which girls name do you prefer?

My partner and I are struggling to decide which girls name we like best, which do you prefer?
The middle name will be Florence after my grandmother.

Ivy (I have loved this name for years but I’m really put off by its recent popularity)
Polly
Lila
Autumn (partner says it’s too out there and I’m in two minds)
Blossom (partner says it’s too out there again!)

Thanks 😊

Ivy then Lila then Polly

BikeRunSki · 09/12/2020 13:38

@MonaLisaPiles

Polly by a country mile
That is exactly what I was going to say.
brads88 · 09/12/2020 13:31

What about Florence Blossom?

I think they're all lovely names though Smile

RuthW · 09/12/2020 12:10

Love Polly and Autumn. I like Blossom. Don't like Lila.

How about Polly Florence Blossom
Or Autumn Florence Blossom?

northstars · 09/12/2020 11:54

I like Autumn and Polly a lot - pretty and not too common.

MercyBodle · 09/12/2020 11:52

I love Autumn, Polly and Ivy, probably in that order. Lila is okay, but I just find it a lot like several popular names at the moment (Layla, Lola, Lily etc). I would use Blossom for a nickname if you love it.

VenusClapTrap · 09/12/2020 11:37

I love Blossom.

Tavannach · 08/12/2020 23:40

Polly, although I prefer Molly. Autumn would be my second choice.
I don't like Blossom at all, sorry.

DramaAlpaca · 08/12/2020 23:30

Polly by a mile. I love Polly Florence. Ivy would be my second choice.

Lila is a bit, I don't know, insubstantial. Autumn isn't my style.

Blossom is just ridiculous, sorry.

Yennefer19 · 08/12/2020 22:43

I absolutely love Blossom but I don’t think it goes with Florence. I think the ones that go best is Ivy or Lila.

shouldbedoinglaundry · 08/12/2020 22:40

Ivy by miles. The others don't go with Florence to my ear.

Hippopotas · 08/12/2020 22:33

Polly or autumn

Foxinthechickencoop · 08/12/2020 22:32

Autumn is a beautiful name, but surely for an autumn baby.
Blossom - I know a staffy and a bill mastif call blossom
Polly - classic and really nice. Someone you’d be friend with.
Ivy - nice but popular here
Lila - meh

chubbyhotchoc · 08/12/2020 22:27

Ivy- awful
Polly- parrot
Lila- it's ok
autumn- also ok but a bit of a mouthful with Florence
Blossom- not with Florence. Two flowery names is a bit much

PlantPotting · 08/12/2020 22:24

Polly

Nell96 · 08/12/2020 22:12

My favourite is actually Florence - beautiful, classic name, pretty but not frilly and suits all ages.

Ivy - I know one she's around 4 I think. It's a sweet name. Short, simple and pretty. I also like Iris and Fern, in a similar vein.
Polly - like - it's growing on me and not too popular.
Lila - ok - sounds a bit more grown-up and less frilly than Lilly, Leila, Lola etc. Perhaps a bit insubstantial and similar to a lot of other quite popular 'L' names.
Autumn - nope
Blossom - hard no

Chilldonaldchill · 08/12/2020 22:03

Ivy - I do like this
Polly - I love this
Lila - I'm not keen.
Autumn - I like this.
Blossom - sorry I dislike this a lot, it sounds a bit tacky to me

elfran · 08/12/2020 20:00

Love Polly, Ivy is a distant second (nice name but feels trendy to me). The others I don't personally care for.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 08/12/2020 19:56

Lila is the nicest (although I would use the more popular Lilah spelling personally). Autumn and Blossom can sometimes sound a bit tacky to me, Ivy is much too trendy, Polly is okay but a little old -fashioned imo.

Firebird83 · 08/12/2020 19:53

Polly or Lila

BurtonHouse · 08/12/2020 19:45

Polly top.
Lila second.
Others blah

GooseberryTart · 08/12/2020 18:27

Ivy or Polly are ok. But think Ivy goes better with Florence.

sibbys · 08/12/2020 18:23

Polly ❤️

OffredOfjune · 08/12/2020 18:23

Autumn and Ivy by far. Polly sounds far too wet to me.

MikeUniformMike · 08/12/2020 18:19

Blossom - I don't think of it as a name, maybe ok for a shire horse
