Help me name a 4th boy!

I’m really struggling with names as I have three boys already so with their first names and middle names I’ve pretty much used up all the names I really like!

I like Oscar and Arthur but those have both been vetoed. I also like Atticus and Otto, but not sure if Atticus is a big pretentious and Otto is an odd choice since we have no German links. If I went for either of those I’d want to give the baby an uncontroversial middle name in case he hated his first name.

Please help me with suggestions for other names I might like or opinions on Atticus and Otto!

I have 3 boys and I'm expecting my fourth which is actually a girl and has shocked us. My boys are

Lewis
Alexander
Sebastian

I had decided my fourth boy would be

Hugo
Benjamin
Or Bernard

But now we are looking at girls names 😂🤷‍♀️
Good luck!

You can’t have William and Wilbur!

“Meet my sons - Will and Wil”. Very strange.

GoodbyePorpoiseSpit · 08/12/2020 17:52

How about Solomon (Sol)
Or Sullivan (Sully)

Heard both of these today and liked them :)
Love Theo but not sure on Wilbur... Wilf?

Anniemabel · 08/12/2020 17:41

Dh has now vetoed Atticus and Otto anyway but thanks for the feedback! He says I can have Atticus as a middle name if I really want to!

We’re thinking Theo as a compromise but I don’t love it. Other option he suggested is Wilbur, which again I like but don’t love.

I love James and Alexander and both would go well.
Other classics are Thomas, Matthew, Samuel, Jonathan, Justin, Magnus

Rory?
Just wanted to nip on and say hello. I have 4 boys and love it Smile

diddlediddle · 06/12/2020 19:02

I'm afraid I really don't like Otto, I don't think it goes with your other children's names and I would think it a bit strange with no German connection.

Atticus is obviously a bit full on, I don't hate it but it really doesn't go with your other sons. I think the pregnancy hormones might be getting to you!!

Mammyloveswine · 06/12/2020 18:59

Nathaniel, Elijah, Noah, Joshua, Zachary, Albert, all go with your other names!

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 06/12/2020 18:57

Atticus is lovely, I don't think it's pretentious at all but it is very associated with To Kill a Mockingbird, if that matters? Dislike Otto though, it's very trendy and a bit comical sounding to me.

Though with your other boys names I agree with pp that a more traditional boys name could fit better (but maybe a quirky nn could jazz it up?).

So: Alexander (Xan?), Nicholas (Nico?), Edward (Bear, Iolo?), Maximilian (Maxim?), Michael (Cal?), Nathaniel (Han?), Henry (Hal?), James (Jem?), Christopher (Kit?), Xavier (Zev?)

HeadPain · 06/12/2020 18:49

Don't know what you think of Evander, but I watched a video yesterday that said it was only used 9 times last year in UK, so if you want a more unique name...

GoodbyePorpoiseSpit · 06/12/2020 13:21

Like Otto!
Also:
Ivo
Wilf
Arthur
Xander
Milo
Jake
Pete

Growingyou · 06/12/2020 13:09

Oh I just saw the suggestion of Samuel.

William, Sebastian, George and Samuel are a lovely sibset.

Growingyou · 06/12/2020 13:08

Don't love Otto (but perhaps because an otto is slang for a rubbish bin in Australia). I love Atticus written down but can't imagine having to call for Atticus at the park - it seems like a mouthful. Perhaps because there is no natural nickname "Will, Seb, George, Atticus!". Theo goes well, as does Arlo, Oliver.

Rosesaresweet · 06/12/2020 11:36

William, Sebastian, George and

Caspar
Quentin
Reuben
Atticus
Frederick

I really dislike Otto.

MercyBodle · 06/12/2020 11:33

I love Atticus. It doesn't seem pretentious to me, though I don't really understand what that means! Not so keen on Otto, prefer Otis.
August
Magnus
Fergus
Milo
Hugo
Nicholas

beavisandbutthead · 06/12/2020 09:43

Kit

AugustL · 06/12/2020 00:45

"William, Sebastian, George" and...

Thomas, Lucas, Isaac, Elijah, Jeremiah, Otto, Matthew, Jacob, Benjamin, Samuel, Alexander, James, Ezra (or maybe not with the George you already have), Noah, Nicholas, Joseph, Gabriel, Tobias, Aaron, Andrew, Rex, Max, Leon, Leo, Austin, Zachary, Lucien, Theodore/Theo, Malachi...

caringcarer · 06/12/2020 00:38

Your other children have traditionally names.

Christopher
Jonathan
Edward
Michael
James
Robert
Andrew
Rupert
Jack
Simon
Phillip
Arthur
Frances
Gordon
Miles

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 06/12/2020 00:17

Jonathan?

DukeOfEarlGrey · 06/12/2020 00:10

I love Atticus and Otto but agree they don’t fit with your other boys’ names.

Theo is a great name too and fits beautifully with the rest.

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 06/12/2020 00:09

You have all the names that were on my boys' name list when I was pregnant with my so . I also like:

Xavier
Hector
Earnest

Shylo · 05/12/2020 23:57
