Juna is made up, sorry

Purplemonkeyandbananas · 15/12/2022 15:43

June is a month and June is made up. Sorry

Pemba · 15/12/2022 13:50

Is Juna a real name, I've not heard it before? I'm not mad on June to be honest, although it seems to be mentioned on here a fair amount (because of Handmaid's Tale maybe?)
It just has a '1950s schoolgirl' vibe to me.

I'd prefer Jane or Jean, they seem more classic and time for a revival maybe. Or Julia, that's lovely.

HelloBunny · 15/12/2022 13:27

Juna seems like the name of a fanny-pad brand that you might find at the supermarket when on holiday.

DurdleSnore · 15/12/2022 09:14

June

Charliehaus · 15/12/2022 09:06

Juna is too much like tuna

Charlottie01 · 13/12/2022 21:16

My son has recently turned 18 months, he appears to be meeting milestones and developing ' typically' in many areas of development , yet Communication and Language I feel he's still very much ' emerging ' with. He gives good eye contact, smiles, and is beginning to understand simple instructions such as ' sit down' .." where's your head?' ' cuddle' & ' wave!' he will respond correctly yet....
He doesn't point to his wants/needs / tug on me. I'm a bit concerned with the lack of gesturing and he doesn't have many words beyond 'dadda' and humming to familiar songs.
Help!

June- lovely!

Gingersnappy · 13/12/2022 18:38

I prefer June to Juna
I prefer Juno over both. Juniper is nice too, but Juno is my favorite of the Jun- variants

RuthW · 13/12/2022 18:13

Juna. Never heard it before. It's lovely

2bazookas · 13/12/2022 15:59

Neither. June is dull, Juna sounds too like Junior.

I prefer Juno. It's a goddess name.

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 13/12/2022 15:55

Juniper
Juno
June
... then a long way afterwards
Juna (agree it sounds made up)

fairycupcakes · 13/12/2022 14:12

June. Beautiful :) Juniper and Junia also lovely x

Charlottie01 · 13/12/2022 13:30

June is a little too dated, I actually think Juna or Juno sound's so pretty! Juno sounds a bit more masculine and Juna more on the femme sphere.

IckleBear · 06/12/2020 20:25

Juna looks wrong and June is much prettier. Junie would be nice.

HeadlessGummyBears · 06/12/2020 20:15

I think June sounds much better than Juna. Juniper could also be another option?

DefinitelyMaybeBaby · 06/12/2020 16:48

I immediately thought of Tuna for Juna too so would definitely say June, although not everyone would agree but I do think baby needs to be born in the month of June for it to work really. I also like Juno or Juniper for a modern twist.

callistography · 06/12/2020 14:22

Juna is quite an old name in origin.

fourteen6 · 06/12/2020 13:38

I second the idea of Juniper! I think it's a lovely name and a bit different. Then you can shorten it to whatever you like without too much pressure if people/baby don't end up liking it - as it's only a nickname. Juna would work as a nickname too if you do like that. Initially I was 50/50 on Juna but now someone has said it's like Tuna, I can't unsee it 😂

CeeceeBloomingdale · 06/12/2020 13:32

Neither, Juno would be my pick

ivfbeenbusy · 06/12/2020 13:29

Juna sounds suspiciously made up? Which automatically makes it a bad choice sorry

callistography · 06/12/2020 13:17

I prefer June to Juna but Juno is, to me, a better variation. Beautiful classical goddess

Kokeshi123 · 06/12/2020 13:15

Juna is not bad but the simplicity of June is very nice.
I hate Juno, sorry. It sounds like a pet's name.

Changethetoner · 06/12/2020 01:38

Jane is nice.

june2007 · 05/12/2020 21:17

Junia yes Juna I have never heard of. June is ok.
