Not very keen for on Remy for either sex, sorry OP. It sounds a bit cute/nicknamey to me (athough I realise it's a well known French name).

I really like it, I think of it as unisex. Remi for a girl and Remy for a boy.

A family member recently named their son Remy. It wouldn't be my choice - I'm usually not a fan of y/ie endings for boy's names, but it's fine. The following names feel similar to me:

Boys name. Short for Remigius which means 'oarsman' (specifically male). Very famous early French saint (male). Not a name for a girl.
