I think Clara Belle would be really nice. Clara being the first name and Belle the middle.

Catwoman1985 · 03/12/2020 23:37

I actually really like this

DramaAlpaca · 03/12/2020 23:21

@Growingyou

I'm not sure why but I would be tempted to pronounce this Cla-ra-bell, rather than Clara-bell.
That's exactly how Clarabel is pronounced.

It does remind me of the grumpy carriage in Thomas the Tank Engine.

As a name it's too fussy for me.

Firebird83 · 03/12/2020 23:15

The one I know spells it Claribel

bridgetreilly · 03/12/2020 17:02

Thomas the Tank Engine here.

I like Clara a LOT better than Clarabel. Christabel is another really good alternative suggestion from a pp.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 03/12/2020 15:12

Much prefer Clara on its own.
Clarabel sounds a bit made up.

Emelene · 03/12/2020 14:35

Just Clara is gorgeous.

helloxhristmas · 03/12/2020 14:33

Clara is lovely

Diddlysquatty · 03/12/2020 14:31

Clarabel just says Thomas the tank engine to me

Annie and Clarabel

jambeforeclottedcream · 03/12/2020 14:30

Love Clara not keen on Clarabel

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 03/12/2020 14:30

The cow, also one of the carriages from Thomas the Tank. Clara is much nicer.

NataliaOsipova · 03/12/2020 14:29

Clara is much nicer. Or, as @IamnotwhouthinkIam suggests, Christabel. Clarabel does sound like a cow!

sanityisamyth · 03/12/2020 14:27

Oh yes exactly

I like it.

Carrotcakey · 03/12/2020 14:26

If you like Clara for short anyway then why not call her Clara Belle or use Isabel or Annabel as a middle name?

Clarabel is one of Thomas’ carriages.

Clara is a beautiful name.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 03/12/2020 14:25

Not keen on on Clarabel, personally - it does make me think of a cow and seems a bit frilly.

I like just Clara or Christabel though (Christabel reminds me of the suffragette and Coleridge poem so seems less frilly somehow).

Oneandabean · 03/12/2020 14:23

Clara on its own is lovely, clarabel just makes me think of a cow

MrsCalypsoGrant · 03/12/2020 14:02

I love both the name and the shortening. Great choice OP

Marlena1 · 03/12/2020 14:02

Love Clara Smile I think I would rather that.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 03/12/2020 14:02

Ah, it seems I wasn't...

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 03/12/2020 14:01

No, there was a cow called Clarabella in the the Mickey Mouse comics, though that might well be out of date by now.

Youandmealwaysandforever · 03/12/2020 14:01

Sorry but Clarabel makes me think of a pretty cow 🐮

Odile13 · 03/12/2020 14:01

I like the name Clara. Clarabel is too cutesy sounding for my taste.

hardtimeuphere · 03/12/2020 14:00

Yup you've been watching Mickey mouse club house is what I immediately thought!!
Love Clara though
