Not looking for opinions on the names I like BUT am looking for more ideas based on those names.

I have 7 other children but I can’t put their names here as they would be way too outing as a couple of them have quite unusual names.

So I like:

Otto (this is my fave)
Buster (Dhs fave. I love it but not sure if I could do it tbh Grin )
Percy (I’ve always liked this and it goes well with my youngest sons name.

Not sure on girls names, it has to be floral. I’m a florist and all my girls either have cat names or flower names (so outing Grin )

Let me know your ideas Smile

Or even Rex.

Finn would work really well, looking at your kids' names.

TheVanguardSix · 02/12/2020 22:48

Leilani (Hawaiian for heavenly flowers- I love this name)

Some great suggestions on here.

I love that someone has a pug with three of my favourite names 😂 I also have a pug but he’s called Mario.

Blodwen - Welsh, means white flowers - not really, it's 'flower'+white/blessed. It's dated and not very pretty, how about Florette. Yes, it really is that bad.

Ffion - welsh, means foxglove

Namechanger0800 · 01/12/2020 07:36

What about Lilac or Lavender?

Otto is ok - don't like the others
Think you are pretty outed already - can't be many florists having their 8th who's girls have flower/cat names - what are your others called?

myhobbyisouting · 01/12/2020 06:31

You might as well just tell us the other names for comparison.

A florist with a cat called possum and 7 kids (all named after cats and flowers) is pretty outing 😂

festivebug · 01/12/2020 06:06

If you like less common flower names, what about Marigold?Smile

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 01/12/2020 02:46

Oh, I forgot another "cat" name (if you want more cat names as well as floral ones) - Perdita

Pennybubbly · 01/12/2020 02:34

I live in Japan

The Japanese word for flower is "Hana" which is a cool name.
My DD went to school with a "Himawari" (Sunflower)

Other popular flower names here:

Sakura (Cherry blossom)
Momo (Peach) (means fascinating personality)
Sumire (Violet) (pronounced su-me-ray) (Means love, sincerity)
Ume (Plum/Japanese apricot) (pronounced Uh-may)

@VienneseWhirligig

Aster Daphnia Cassia Zinnia Flora Belladonna Jasmine Erica Heather Posy Veronica

Buster is a dog's name. Otto is nice, Percy quite unusual these days and cute, although it makes me think of the old chap on Coronation Street!

Belladonna is deadly poisonous, I wouldn't name a child that. Also known as Deadly Nightshade.
Hollyhobbi · 01/12/2020 02:15

Gosh. I can't imagine a young fella being called any of those names, except Otto if he was German! Or a pug! Florence or Rosa for a girl?

GeorgiaGirl52 · 01/12/2020 01:54

Unbelievable. I had a friend who had an Otto, Percy, and Buster. They were Pugs. She never had girls so I can't suggest anything.
