Not looking for opinions on the names I like BUT am looking for more ideas based on those names.

I have 7 other children but I can’t put their names here as they would be way too outing as a couple of them have quite unusual names.

So I like:

Otto (this is my fave)
Buster (Dhs fave. I love it but not sure if I could do it tbh Grin )
Percy (I’ve always liked this and it goes well with my youngest sons name.

Not sure on girls names, it has to be floral. I’m a florist and all my girls either have cat names or flower names (so outing Grin )

Let me know your ideas Smile

What about Rowan for a boy?

LostInTheColonies · 09/12/2020 04:51

And I met a girl once called Meg - nn for Omega. #5 in the family & definitely the last...

LostInTheColonies · 09/12/2020 04:50

Hebe
Sorrel

I'm in NZ and it's not that uncommon for children to have tree names (boys & girls) - e.g. Matai, Rata (lovely red flowers), Ngaio (bit tricky that last one). See also - Hebe Grin

JWrecks · 09/12/2020 04:18

Going for the floral theme, you simply must have a Hyacinth!

If you don't already have these:
Daisy
Rose
Violet

For a boy...

Richard
Onslow
Sheridan
Emmet

(I'm sorry, I couldn't resist! Grin But they are all nice names!!)

Wherethereshope · 09/12/2020 04:08

Chailatte20 · 08/12/2020 08:07

@isadorapolly

I think flora would inevitably be shortened to flo though, and cute as it is there are tons of flos (Florence) locally. I do like it though.
Not necessarily. I know a Flora whose name has never been shortened. I guess if she prefers Flo then that's her choice but I don't think people will call her Flo automatically.

How about Cherry?

ShivD · 03/12/2020 19:59

I think Juniper and Marigold would work well with your names- Juni and Mari or Goldie for short.

joneybabe · 03/12/2020 19:55

I like flora but worry it’s a bit boring

I love Flora! Don't think it's boring at all and it's obviously floral Grin

I think Percy goes really well, BUT if you are middle class M&S shoppers or live around them I'm pretty sure the Percy Pig link will be made.

What about Amos? And Rose?

I liked the Octavia suggestion. Also like Percy, I’ve never heard of it mentioned for penis though 🤷🏼‍♀️. Buster I personally wouldn’t choose but if you like it ignore other peoples comments.

Lavender
Iris
Heather

I always loved the name Lenore, but English people pull a face at it because of the fabric softener.
