Lucy, Jessica or Robyn?

My favourite is Lucy.

His favorite is Jessica.

Robyn is an ok one. Maybe a middle name if it doesn't grow. Also like Iris as a middle name.

It gets freakier OP - Lucy was our other one we liked!

OffredOfjune · 27/11/2020 16:32

@VenusClapTrap

Robyn and Iris are lovely names. Jessica and Lucy are both a bit dull.
Agreed
Himawarigirl · 27/11/2020 16:28

Love Robyn. Lucy and Jessica seem quite bland.

mysocalledlife · 27/11/2020 16:25

I like Robyn best, it's such a cool name.

mollyminniemo · 27/11/2020 16:21

Jessica : its always been 1 of my favourite girls names. Just as feedback to the "is too popular" comments I know 3/4 my age (35). DD-4 I haven't come across any in her nursery or school. We are SW London.
Really really do not like Robyn. Genuinely Shock at the like for it here. I was at school with 2 Robins one a boy, one a girl, always thought it sounded harsh and sorry a bit common then and didn't seem attractive to me (as a kid anyway!) that it was so unisex.

Jessica

pilates · 27/11/2020 16:18

Jessica, love it 😍
Lucy is very nice
Robyn awful

sundowners · 27/11/2020 16:15

Jessica 100% - by another mile

Thedogshow · 27/11/2020 16:14

I don’t like Robyn at all, so either of the other 2. Robyn sounds really 1990s to me.

DeeandraReynolds · 27/11/2020 16:09

Robyn is my favourite by far.

I'm not keen on Lucy or Jessica. Find them a bit dated but not in a nice, vintage way.

Pudding01 · 27/11/2020 16:09

Robyn = 11

Lucy = 10

Jessica = 3

Glad people like the MN idea of Iris. Erin's is Rose and my first name is a plant lol Felt quite fitting. Also a little bit of an Irish vibe, which I like.

This thread shows clearly to me that taste levels on MN have just gone seriously downhill!

Robyn?! It’s so harsh, so bland, very American. Awful.

Jessica is the most lovely by FAR. Funny your DH likes this as mine also says it’s always been his favourite girls name - as did an ex boyfriend!

Lucy is also very sweet but a bit blander.

DollyParton2 · 27/11/2020 15:59

Jessica by a mile. It’s not that used anymore. But still always sounds like an energetic, upbeat while still very feminine girls name. Will always love it and always wished I’d been called it😊

Lucy is lovely but I know far more Lucy’s than Jessica’s so it never feels individual.

Robyn- just no!

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 27/11/2020 15:38

DD is Lucy. Only one in her year group of almost 90 children. The name is much more popular in Ireland though. DC2 would have been Jessica if he were a girl! So they're both great names but I guess Lucy pips it.

Firebird83 · 27/11/2020 15:35

Robyn

VenusClapTrap · 27/11/2020 15:19

Robyn and Iris are lovely names. Jessica and Lucy are both a bit dull.

Itmaybeus · 27/11/2020 14:07

Lucy. Jessica is OK.

festivebug · 27/11/2020 14:03

Lucy!Smile

happylittlechick · 27/11/2020 14:02

Lucy was 65th last year
Robyn 64th
Jessica 33rd.

Just to give an idea of popularity.

Chathamhouserules · 27/11/2020 13:58

Robyn. I love it!

Pudding01 · 27/11/2020 13:57

@DominaShantotto 😂 Well don't we have very similar tastes!

OP posts:
DominaShantotto · 27/11/2020 13:53

Hah OP - my other DD is an Erin!

Boxofpinot · 27/11/2020 13:51

I don't like Robyn I'm afraid, love Lucy and Lucy iris sounds lovely

Pudding01 · 27/11/2020 13:44

I agree on the Jessica popularity. Lovely name, very pretty and I don't mind the nns. However it is a popular name, like Jack, which is my DP's favourite boys name.

I am (pleasantly) surprised that Robyn is getting so many votes!

Lucy is still my favourite, my DD would have had that name if we didn't choose Erin.

Now mine is older and more crafty it does cost me a fortune in anything cute with robins on that she insists she MUST have and she's now outsourced into wheedling anything Batman related as "he's got a Robin and I'm a Robyn so it should be mine"
