My favourite is Lucy.

His favorite is Jessica.

Robyn is an ok one. Maybe a middle name if it doesn't grow. Also like Iris as a middle name.

@Boxofpinot Lucy has always been my one! Erin nearly was a Lucy 😁 It's my DP that likes Jessica. Robyn was our let's trying and think of a name we both like moment.

We ruled out Sophie for popularity, as that was in the mix as well.

😂 😂 😂 😂 *@DeeandraReynolds I have converted one but is it working on @pudding01*???? 🧐 🧐 🧐 🧐
Look out @Pudding01! She has powers beyond human understanding 🤯.

Erin and Lucy sound great together. I don’t particularly like the name Lucy though.

I’d choose Jessica.

Robyn is my least favourite. Rob is awful as a shortened nn!

I know two girls names Lucy (7 and 9)
Two Jessica (15 and 34)
1 Robyn (10 weeks)

I'd go with Robyn I guess.

DeeandraReynolds · 28/11/2020 08:21

Damn it @Boxofpinot, your highly sophisticated skills of persuasion are too much for me!

Boxofpinot · 28/11/2020 08:15

@DeeandraReynolds hahaha my plan seems to be working 😇😇😇😇😈😈😈😈

FlyingWithoutWingss · 28/11/2020 07:57

Pudding01 · 28/11/2020 07:53

I love Robyn x

LemonsYellow · 28/11/2020 06:05

I don’t think Erin is dated. I know two Erins - one is 18, the other is 10.
Lucy and Jessica are classic names and don’t really date.
Robyn is very “now” and doesn’t have the class of those other names.

Raffie13 · 28/11/2020 00:25

Lucy

Liquoriceallsort87 · 28/11/2020 00:18

If I ever have a girl it will be Jessica, named after my cousin who passed away.
Don’t like the name Lucy as I’ve been cheated on twice and both with girls named Lucy!!

Zoflorabore · 28/11/2020 00:16

I have a Lucy. She is almost 10.
I chose her name when I was a little girl!

There is one other in her school who is around 6/7.

It’s a gorgeous name.

Eleanora8 · 28/11/2020 00:10

Jessica, Lucy or Lucia (pronounced loose-e-ah)

baumwolle · 27/11/2020 23:48

I think the thing with Robyn being relatively niche - but still common enough for people to know one or two - is that people are more likely to have pretty strong reactions either way. I only know two Robyns and am not a fan of either, so I have a negative opinion on the name. Whereas while I know at least one or two not so nice Lucys or Jessicas, they're outweighed by all the others with those names! I would personally choose Lucy because I like the meaning and don't know quite as many of them as Jessicas. Plus Lucy goes well with Erin, both with two syllables.

DeeandraReynolds · 27/11/2020 23:42

Erin and Lucy together actually sound really lovely, the more I think about it... I think Lucy and Jessica written together somehow sounded a bit 80s, but actually think Lucy with Erin or on its own is indeed classic, rather than dated.

You are a total twat however 😂😂😂

Pudding01 · 27/11/2020 23:39

@DeeandraReynolds totally offended, you bitch! 🤣 But no, I get what you're saying, maybe Erin is more in line with Lucy. In a simple, classic, nice girls name that isn't over used. Robyn is a lovely name, but maybe it's more a niche one...

I don't find any of the names dull, or 80s. I could list the ones that I believe fit that (including my own), but it's all subjective. My problem with Jessica was its popularity.

And I meant to say, I like Erin. I don’t think of it as old school but it’s unusual and bright, intelligent sounding, to me.

Merename · 27/11/2020 23:29

Iris is my very fave. To me, that is an old school name, and lovelier than any of the others by a mile. Robyn next, and I’m sorry for me Lucy and Jessica are painfully dull names. Not dated or vintage in any interesting way, just bland and even simpering. Sorry that’s a bit harsh but I’m too tired to be more diplomatic!

DeeandraReynolds · 27/11/2020 23:25

@Pudding01

Can I ask the people that called either of the names dated, would you class Erin as dated too? Robyn likers called Lucy & Jessica dated and visa versa...

I won't be offended (unless you're offensive 😂), just trying to work out whether it matters to me if my vibe is older school names.

Actually...I do find Erin to be in a similar genre to Lucy and Jessica! All nice names, not exactly to my taste, but nice names.

On balance, although Robyn is my favourite, I think I'd go with Lucy. I think @Boxofpinot has got to me with her sneaky, subliminal messaging somehow...

Was that offensive? What if I called you an arsehole or something? I'd go with Lucy you twat! How's that Grin?

DramaAlpaca · 27/11/2020 23:21

My favourite is Lucy, then Jessica.

I don't like Robyn much.

blankiesandunicorns · 27/11/2020 23:19

I have a Robyn Jessica! And we don't know any other Robyns, she is 7.
I still love it as much as I did the day she was born. I think it's beautiful but I'm bias ☺️
Nicknames for her include Bobby and Roo

NotmyfirstRodeomyfriend · 27/11/2020 23:14

I have a Robyn Joy ... she's 6, I'm ao pleased she isn't part of the Isla, Mia, Evie brigade! I'm always complimented on her name and she suits it perfectly! We call her Bobbie, Robs, Baby Bird .... 💕
