How does that work, it’s not short for Ivan. Ivan 4 letters Vanny 5? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know an Ivan and he’s just Ivan. Never gets shortened. Not sure it needs it.
Vanny sounds too much like Fanny. I wouldn’t risk it.

I like Ivo. I knew a Giovanni and he was 'Gio' which I loved. Very sexy without being particularly good-looking, just to add.

I’m afraid I thought vagina/fanny combo too, not ideal! Ivan is lovely though - presuming there must be other (less genitalia based) nicknames used for it..

I'm not sure Ivan really needs a nickname. It is absolutely fine as it is.

You could probably use Van as a nn if you wanted by Vanny really does just lead far too easily on to Fanny (sorry).

Surely "van" would be better. Vanny isn't shorter than Ivan so you may as well just say Ivan.

Oh Dear God no, if you lived in Scotland school days would simply be hell, fanny is too similar, think, "Wee fanny, ya fanny, yer Maw's a fanny, yer Maw" etc etc... please no.
