Emma and Emily

I love the name Emily for future DD but my name is Emma and I don’t know if it matters that they are similar. Is this only an issue with siblings?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It’s up to you, but personally I wouldn’t do this. I’d feel silly walking into baby groups and saying “I’m Emma and this is Emily”.

I think it's fine. I would do it. As you say, not with siblings.

ApolloandDaphne · 22/11/2020 19:12

That would be fine. My DD1 and I have slightly similar names. They are both derivatives of the same name. No-one has ever mentioned it.

I personally wouldn't but I don't think it's terrible.
What about Millie instead?

I think it's okay. Siblings would be a no go though
