What are your thoughts as to which is better?

Sophia seems to be very very popular around here , but I have met quite a few girls called Phoebe as well. I like both but would choose Sophia because I think it's easier to spell.

KittenCalledBob · 21/11/2020 10:03

Sophia

MikeUniformMike · 21/11/2020 10:02

I prefer Sophie. Sophia is nice but a bit overused.
I like Phoebe.

pookypup · 21/11/2020 10:00

Phoebe. I have one and we get lots of compliments about the choice.

Love it, uncommon and a bit different but not too out there.

Firebird83 · 20/11/2020 22:17

Sophia. Phoebe is too much like feeble.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 20/11/2020 22:09

Sophia (and Sophie too) is a lovely sounding classic name, it's just very popular for that reason! Phoebe has a strong double "ee" sound in it that is unappealing to me.

DramaAlpaca · 20/11/2020 21:35

Sophia, by quite a long way.

Brighterthansunflowers · 20/11/2020 20:30

Love Phoebe

RuthW · 20/11/2020 19:23

Phoebe is lovely. Don't like Sophia

pengin567 · 20/11/2020 18:49

I prefer Phoebe

Sandcastles09 · 20/11/2020 12:41

Love both but prefer Phoebe!

Quizeerascal · 20/11/2020 12:40

Both lovely names, I slightly prefer Phoebe and Sophia seems to be very popular at the moment if that bothers you

Nell96 · 20/11/2020 12:37

I love Phoebe. Sophia is nice, but Sophie is much better.

FluffyEggsontoast · 20/11/2020 09:54

Sophia
But agree with PP, Sophie is even better

CheesePleaseLoueese · 20/11/2020 09:37

Prefer Phoebe

Suzi888 · 20/11/2020 09:34

I like both, prefer Sophia

Chilldonaldchill · 20/11/2020 09:32

Sophia.
Phoebe sounds like feeble...

RosieGirl27 · 20/11/2020 09:19

Sophia is so overdone.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 20/11/2020 09:18

I like them both but if you choose Phoebe be prepared for a lifetime of it being misspelled!
Person experience!

user1493494961 · 20/11/2020 09:16

Both lovely names, would probably choose Phoebe on account of the popularity of the very similar Sophie.

Spied · 20/11/2020 09:14

Sophia is beautiful.
I don't like Phoebe. Looks and sounds ugly to me.

JofraArchersFastestBall · 20/11/2020 09:08

I love both - but DD is a Phoebe (hadn't realised how it divided opinion until today - to me it's a nice but not unusual name. I love it though, still glad we chose it). Sophia was our second choice.

ellenpartridge · 20/11/2020 08:48

Prefer Sophia

TotalBitch · 20/11/2020 08:42

I prefer Sophia. I am not keen on Phoebe, but it's a perfectly non remarkable name which nobody would seriously object to. Sophia is quite popular and Phoebe less so, so if that bothers you and you like them equally, go with Phoebe.

Enko · 20/11/2020 08:38

I have a Phoebe We had Sophia on short list so I clearly like both Smile
