Astrid. I would worry Willow might not grow up very willowy. I can't imagine a solidly built preteen would appreciate the name.

Willow is a beautiful name. I love the symbolism - a tree with branches which bend but never break, so a name associated with qualities such as flexibility and resilience. A similar name which you may also like is Willoughby.

I'm not keen on Astrid - it sounds too hard. I don't like the 'As-' beginning. I also worry it will date quickly, as it seems like a bit of an 'on-trend' name.
