Thank you all for the feedback good and bad!

Still love it and given we think it suits him once’s he’s born, pretty sure he’s going to be Ziggy.

@SissySpacekAteMyHamster

Anyone else of an age where the name Ziggy brings up the image of a spotty scouser on Grange Hill?
When I had a Ziggy in my class it was my first thought Grin Spotty, awkward teenager, rather than the cool Bowie connection!

The parents were painfully 'cool' they would have been gutted if they'd known what I was thinking, it was very obvious they wanted everyone to know how hip they were....

giraffes2021 · 18/03/2021 14:45

My baby boy is called Ziggy and my daughter is called Indie

Everyone comments on how different it is and lots of people like it.

May2021Mummy · 18/03/2021 14:44

I know someone called Zig and he's a really awesome guy I think the name has always suited him I don't understand why people get so hung up on long names on birth certs and not using nicknames if that's what you like go for it I think it's pretty cool

Lalliella · 18/03/2021 01:06

Please don’t do that to a child.

FluWorldOrder · 17/03/2021 21:44

Like Ziggy off Home and Away (female) Grin
I like it!

AngelDelightUk · 13/03/2021 17:25

I think it’s sweet, and he will definitely be a cool dude with that name!

Fernie6491 · 13/03/2021 17:10

If you think of David (Ziggy) Bowie's son Zowie Bowie - he clearly decided for himself what he wanted to be called when he grew up .

Now known as Duncan Jones - couldn't be more ordinary if he tried!

People are free to change how they are known, should they wish it.

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 13/03/2021 01:58

Nope .

Littlefluffyclouds13 · 13/03/2021 00:33

There's a Ziggy at my school, I don't think it's great for him in the playground etc, children just want to fit in and I say that working in a school with a fair share of unusual names!

Porridgeoat · 13/03/2021 00:31

Top name! I like it a lot
