Unless you want him to be called Hey Duggee! Forever I'd find another option. Not a fan either.

I dislike the sound — it’s a sort of grunt. Also unpleasantly like dug or dugs.
Douglas would be a great middle name.

I don't mean to be unkind, but I genuinely think Doug might be the most plain and boring name there is...probably an opinion entirely based on the cartoon Doug. He was very plain and boring.

I like it. I feel it's a classic though I'm Scottish so maybe that makes a difference.

I quite like the full name Douglas. I'd only consider it as a middle name though, because I'm not keen on Doug or Douggie/Dougie.
