DS2 is due. We have gotten down to:

Ted/Teddy (would be Ted on birth certificate)
Jude
Otis
Beau
Reuben
Harry

Ds1 is Oscar.

Somehow I missed all the other posts.
Noah is ok but a bit meh now. I know loads and it is not in the same league as Oscar.

Chilldonaldchill · 08/11/2020 22:22

Ted/Teddy (would be Ted on birth certificate) - I quite like it as a nn for Theodore (or Edward) but I'm not keen on it as a full name
Jude - easily my favourite from your list and feels an excellent match for Oscar
Otis - I don't dislike the name but I don't like it with Oscar
Beau - sorry but I really dislike this. I think it will date badly and be very faddy
Reuben - second favourite. Roo is a cool nickname
Harry - I like it. It is a bit boring next to Oscar but it's ok

I know lots of Oscars (ranging in age from 5 to 17) but I still really like it as a name. I think Jude is the perfect pair with it but Reuben is a good second.
You don't ask for suggestions but Toby or Felix would also work I think.

I'm also one that likes all apart from Beau
Don't think Otis and Oscar are a problem but as pp said I'd make sure they have a different middle initial if you do use it.
Think Reuben Harry or Jude go best with Oscar.
Not keen on Ted/Teddy as a name on its own but like it as a nn personally but get you're point and that it's not everyone's taste to do it that way and is nothing wrong with Ted on its own I'm just not as keen.

FluffyEggsontoast · 08/11/2020 18:36

Love Otis
Reuben is often misspelt.

Flappingflamingo · 08/11/2020 18:29

Reuben🤦🏻‍♀️

Flappingflamingo · 08/11/2020 18:29

Oscar and rueben
Oscar and noah

PlantPotting · 08/11/2020 18:13

I really like Otis Beau Jude and Ted. I don't like Reuben

BillBaileysPasoFace · 08/11/2020 17:40

All lovely names apart from Beau!

Lobsterquadrille2 · 08/11/2020 17:39

Reuben.

chickensoup23 · 08/11/2020 17:38

Otis is on my shortlist
Love Otis or Reuben!!

ShanCalla · 08/11/2020 17:31

Ted is a full name and I don't think there will be too many- there are a lot of different names becoming popular now.

Dinosaur19 · 08/11/2020 16:55

For Ted you could have Theodore or Edward on birth certificate?

Could do but I don’t really like either! And I don’t see the point in giving him a name which will never ever be used?

For Ted you could have Theodore or Edward on birth certificate?

TheDetectiveBadge · 08/11/2020 16:01

I like Otis and Ted.

purplejungle · 08/11/2020 15:55

Reuben

Starlightstarbright1 · 08/11/2020 15:55

Reuben I really don't like but the ones I know are very odd or very naughty.

Ted I like on a baby but find it haed to imagine a grown man called Ted

I also don't like Beau to femanine.

I love Noah, Jude

Harry very common.

christmasclove · 08/11/2020 15:53

Harry

Ismellphantoms · 08/11/2020 15:51

Hate the use of Ted as a first name. Use Edward and call him Ted. Beau is awful. It's the male version of Belle. I've never liked Harry as it's short for Harold or Henry.

Jude, Otis or Reuben are okay.

MikeUniformMike · 08/11/2020 15:05

I only like Harry.

Ritascornershop · 08/11/2020 15:03

Otis and Oscar are too similar and too many Harry’s about. Not keen on Beau. I love Jude and Reuben is my favourite.

Flymetothestars · 08/11/2020 14:58

Otis is great @Dinosaur19
Love all the names on your list except for Reuben

Harvey3 · 08/11/2020 14:42

I like them all apart from Beau.

DramaAlpaca · 08/11/2020 14:38

I like Otis with Oscar.

Also think Jude and Harry go well.

I'm not keen on the others.

hollylouise1994 · 08/11/2020 14:31

Firstly @Dinosaur19 you have GREAT taste in names I generally like them all, but I think Teddy is overdone now and Harry is getting a bit dated to my ears.

I love Jude, Noah and Beau from your list. Oscar and Jude make the best sibling combination IMO.
