DH and I are debating different spellings for a (hypothetical) Amy:

  • Eighmeigh
  • Eiyehmaeh
  • Ayeh-Mae

Favourites?

@SoupDragon

LOL at the posters who think this is real 😂😂

A'mee. The apostrophe adds class I think.

Thank goodness for that Confused Grin I really should stop taking people so seriously 😂
Alonelonelyloner · 06/11/2020 19:11

I love all of them, but I do agree that Anal has a bit of pizzazz.

c24680 · 06/11/2020 19:07

Sorry but I just read the names and couldn't pronounce them Confused

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 06/11/2020 19:07

Haylee, nn Anäl?

emilybrontescorsett · 06/11/2020 18:58

What about Haymee , though I am thinking Anal would be quite unique.

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 06/11/2020 17:52

Sorry, that reads as insulting when I was aiming for ironic Blush I have not against the North.

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 06/11/2020 17:43

Grin @CosyQueen I prefer Anäl.

Aymi sounds a bit northern.

FurrySlipperBoots · 06/11/2020 17:36

Aymi as perfect - short and to the point, and no worries bout mispronunciation.

LadyCatStark · 06/11/2020 17:03

Aiey’mmei

CosyQueen · 06/11/2020 17:02

What about Anal? Bit more unique, not going to find many kids with the same name

DanielODonkey · 06/11/2020 17:00

Aishmeidh

It's how I imagine it could be spelt in Irishish.

FAQs · 06/11/2020 16:56

I know a Aimee and thought that was different.

Your suggestions - just don’t (if it’s real..)

Cosmos45 · 06/11/2020 16:33

@SeasonallySnowyPeasant

Yes, this is not for a real child BTW! Just bandying around ideas!
OP totally misses the point...............
JaneJeffer · 06/11/2020 16:25

I like the first one because it sounds like my how Brummie cousins would pronounce it.

CrocodileFondue · 06/11/2020 16:18

And for a boy, you could go with, M@

CrocodileFondue · 06/11/2020 16:16

A(y)mmi?

SeanCailleach · 06/11/2020 16:07

I like tha first one OP....

Think @tiptoptoupee is spot on with that.

tiptoptoupee · 06/11/2020 15:57

Have you considered Acne?
Similar to Amy but with a unique twist. Best wishes.

Wolfiefan · 06/11/2020 15:55

Too boring?
Choose a different name then. Confused

HemlockStarglimmer · 06/11/2020 15:54

@ShowingOut

Wait, I've got an idea! It's totally out of left field and a bit wacky, but how about spelling it:

Amy

Too boring. Samey Amy.
