I loved Lana until someone pointed out what it spells backwards... it was a strong contender until that point

Lyra is my favourite. Lyla/Lilah is also lovely.

Agree with others that Luna is now really overused as a dog name.

I like Lara but I might be biased as I’m a Laura. Grin To echo some previous posters, my husband’s family Labrador is Luna and I know another doggy Luna so must be popular for dogs!

Lara is great. Lyra is like lycra, luna is too similar to loony, the others are meh.

Lara. Am biased. I have one. I've only met 1 or 2 other Laras. I also really like Lyra.

Lara if I had to choose one, but I'm not keen on any of them. I never know how to pronounce Lena (leena, layna, lenna?)

They all seem to merge into one. There are three off that list in DGD's class, I couldn't tell you who is who.

Lara - nice but there are so many similar names
Luna - too popular, too close to lunatic. Lona is nicer
Lyra - not keen

I think I'd choose Lara or maybe Lana.
