Tadhg or Paxton

I'm pregnant with a boy and I quite like these two names. Tadhg is a name we have previously considered for our other sons but we didn't go for it. Paxton would be after my grandad. I'm so indecisive and my baby is due in a month so I'm really not sure on what name to choose. What are your opinions on these names and do you have any middle name suggestions for them? Thank you

It’s like tiger without the er.

Tadhg

I really like Tadgh, there was one in DH family, but wouldn’t use it outside of Ireland with it being so outside pronunciation understood in the uk. Not keen on Paxton.

How do you pronounce Tadhg? I can't work it out and autocorrect tried to change it several times.

How is Tadhg pronounced, please? I’ve not come across it before.

I love Tadhg.
I'd spell it Ted outside of Ireland.

SeanCailleach · 29/10/2020 20:00

Tadhg Paxton sunds fine.

DrDetriment · 29/10/2020 19:58

They are both awful I'm afraid.

AuntieStella · 29/10/2020 19:58

I prefer Tadhg

Paxton is too surname-y but would make for a good middle name

DontFadeAway · 29/10/2020 19:56

I prefer Tadhg 😊

One is hard to say the other is a character in Thomas and friends. Sorry to be blunt. How about John?
