Hi,
So were expecting our first girl... We are set on the name Florence. We love vintage, classic, old lady charm names.
We are stuck on middle names though we have narrowed it down to two...
So your opinions please
Florence Evelyn or
Florence Elsie...
Thanks in advance!

Florence Elizabeth Evelyn is the best of those imo.

Julie232 · 31/10/2020 16:41

Thankyou everyone really appreciate your views!
I have too many names haha
Stuck on
Florence Evelyn Amelia
Florence Amelia Evelyn
Florence Amelia Elizabeth
Florence Evelyn Elizabeth
Florence Elizabeth Evelyn
Florence Elizabeth Amelia

I do still like Elsie but agree it doesnt flow well in with Florence and other middle name.

However i change my mind every day as you can tell, just when i think ive got it!

I will try to report back once she is here!

Florence Evelyn Elizabeth works very well. Please don't hyphenate anything - it's unnecessary and doesn't add anything. Florence is elegant and adding a hyphen would lose that.

I like Elsie a lot more than Evelyn, but I think Evelyn works a lot better after Florence.

Florence Evelyn Amelia also works perfectly well - I just prefer Elizabeth over Amelia, and it has meaning for you.

Floralyn Elizabeth C. ?

ThirteenOClock · 31/10/2020 00:06

Just have two middle names?

ThirteenOClock · 31/10/2020 00:05

Florence Elizabeth is beautiful. Florence Evelyn in second place. Not so keen on Elsie.

beeboop2018 · 31/10/2020 00:05

I wouldnt hyphenate Florence Evelyn. Gorgeous names but Seems a bit... I couldn't just decided so I used all the names.
Florence is great though, its my little girls name. And her middle name is my mum's middle name. Didn't worry too much about it matching Florence as really wanted to have my mum's middle name.

Hi me again,
Now im wondering that as i love Florence Evelyn so much should i hyphernate this as a first name!? Then have a middle name i.e Elizabeth/Amelia (top choices at themoment)
I just kept saying it and the thought popped into my mind... Or should i leave it be as Florence is so elegant in itself!?
Thanks in advance

Florence Evelyn Elizabeth C is lovely.

If you want FEAC as initials maybe:

Florence Evelyn Amelia C
Florence Evelyn Alexandra C

But I think FEEC is fine.

aureliacecilia · 29/10/2020 20:32

We're thinking of Florence Isabella for our baby (sex unknown).

WhenDoWeEnterTier4 · 29/10/2020 18:49

Fiona

Julie232 · 29/10/2020 18:41

Surname starts with C!
Am now thinking a FEA may look nicer that FEE now youve mentioned initials! 😅

Florence Evelyn Elizabeth works really well (providing the surname doesn't end up making the initials spell something as pp suggested).

Whatsyourflava · 29/10/2020 17:01

The three names together is fine @Julie232 let's be honest, middle names don't get used much and I think your mum will be really touched

Love Florence by the way!! And the middle names

Oneandabean · 29/10/2020 16:41

I should add just as long as your surname doesn’t start with a T or her initials will be FEET

Oneandabean · 29/10/2020 16:40

My first thought was Florence Elizabeth before I read your post.
Out of your choices I prefer Evelyn. I think Florence Evelyn Elizabeth can work too, my family has a two middle name tradition so I don’t see an issue with using both

2tired2bewitty · 29/10/2020 15:24

My grandmother was Florence Muriel... no?

Firebird83 · 29/10/2020 15:22

Florence Evelyn Elizabeth sounds good

Justlovedogs · 29/10/2020 13:58

Florence Evelyn, Elizabeth or Evelyn Elizabeth all work and sound lovely. She'll probably end up being Flo, Florrie or Floss to her friends, anyway... Smile

Bouledeneige · 29/10/2020 13:56

Florence Evelyn is lovely.

My Granny was called Florence Louisa.

1990s · 29/10/2020 13:54

What about Florence Emily?
