Do you know anyone with my potential baby name

Hello,
Esme is the frontrunner for our baby's name.
But I'm a bit confused as to whether it's popular or not. It's currently mid forties on the charts but when I've spoken to people they say that they know of quite a few.
Could be regional thing?

It would be great if you could let me know if you know any (and their ages) and also if you don't know any at all!

Thanks

I don't know any but I did suggest it to my husband but he didn't like it, gave me a strange look! I think it's really nice.

Bubbletrouble43 · 27/10/2020 21:59

I know 3 : a 40something year old, a 3 year old ( I think she is Esmee with an accent, can't seem to type the accent) and a 6 year old. Beautiful name.

ScrummyDiva2 · 27/10/2020 21:44

bisoubisou · 27/10/2020 21:37

My best friends daughter is Esme, she is French Canadian and must be around 23 years old. Have always thought it’s a beautiful name!

Nameandgamechange123 · 27/10/2020 21:35

Yes I know an esme in same year as my son. Love the name. I still think its quite unusual.

cherrybrakewell · 27/10/2020 21:33

Also really don't want the Twilight association! I would pronounce it
Es-Me if we used it. Maybe there are more Es-Mays these days because of Twilight?!

It is becoming more popular but I've never heard any kids with it around here (s wales)
I have heard of a few esmae's (not sure of spelling)

Thanks to you all!
So am I right in thinking that it's not one of the Evie, Edie, Ava type trend? I didn't put this name in that set as I thought it was a bit more unique sounding?
No offence to the Evies out there, I just want something a bit different
