Do you know anyone with my potential baby name

Hello,
Esme is the frontrunner for our baby's name.
But I'm a bit confused as to whether it's popular or not. It's currently mid forties on the charts but when I've spoken to people they say that they know of quite a few.
Could be regional thing?

It would be great if you could let me know if you know any (and their ages) and also if you don't know any at all!

Thanks

It's quite popular in my village I know a 5 yo, 3 yo and 8 yo. Its a lovely name.

My teenage cousin for one, and there was one in my DD’s last nursery. I wouldn’t worry though if you love the name. My DD’s name is well outside the top 100 and has the same name as the little girl next door!

everyonesmama · 27/11/2020 12:39

I know one of 10 and my 5 year old grandaughter - and its lovely

Littlebirdie123 · 27/11/2020 12:38

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 27/11/2020 07:19

I don't know any (in East Anglia)

mamablondie33 · 23/11/2020 11:02

I know one toddler but it’s such a lovely name. Just go for it, if you love it that much you won’t care that there are others.

Tomcullenisahero · 17/11/2020 07:29

One who would be about 10 now, I'm in Northern Ireland.

MrsEricBana · 17/11/2020 07:28

Two aged 17 here, both pronounced Esmee. Mum of one calls her Ezzy sometimes. I'd say not a common name (v. Ellie, Lily, Rosie) here but not too out there. A similar name to Esme in terms of niceness and popularity here is Orla.

Mommabear20 · 17/11/2020 07:24

I know of 5, 1 toddler, 3 10 year olds and 1 30 year old

cloverbug · 17/11/2020 07:21

I know two, one is 11 and the other I think would be about 5 or 6. (I'm not from the UK though.)

okilydokily · 05/11/2020 23:47

I don't know any Esmes at all. I live in Yorkshire. Love the name!

ToffeeAppleCaramel · 31/10/2020 18:28

I know a baby Esme and one in her 30s. London.

Thatwaslulu · 31/10/2020 18:14

bigpumpkin her mum is. The dad named the eldest one after a character in Breaking Bad, his favourite TV show, so let the mum call the next baby after her favourite film character. They were 14 when the first one was born and 16 with the second one. The third one is named after a rapper Hmm

mastertomsmum · 31/10/2020 14:56

We know 2 14 yr olds with the name. I think it’s uncommon as a name because it’s a grandma or great grandma name within living memory. Enid, Elsie, Flo, Vera likewise

BigBigPumpkin · 31/10/2020 14:42

@Thatwaslulu

I know a Renesmee known as Esme (apart from her gran who calls her Nessie). Used to go to school with an Esme in the 80s but don't know any others. I live near Birmingham.
Wow. I take it her parents were massive Twilight fans?
Greyhoundgirly · 31/10/2020 14:34
