I promise it's not after the actress. I've had Demi in mind my entire life. I've bloody gone and married into the only surname that I can't really use it with!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FedUpAtHomeTroels · 26/10/2020 10:24

You can't do that to your kid.
I wanted Dd to be Julia didn't happen with our surname

Ninkanink · 26/10/2020 10:15

No, you can’t.

But it’s honestly not a great name, so you’ve done yourself a favour, really.

inappropriateraspberry · 26/10/2020 09:58

I like Jessica, but married a Simpson!

AllForYOuu · 26/10/2020 09:54

I always loved the name Harry; but I married a potter...I couldn't do it )-:

If your surname was Mann, could you call your daughter Isla? I think you need to let go of Demi, sorry.

OnTheBenchOfDoom · 26/10/2020 09:46

My sister had this dilemma a couple of years ago and just couldn't do it. The person is too famous to not recognise the name.

I always loved a name growing up but then married a man with a surname that rhymes! ie Joe Toe but obviously not those names.

Definitely a middle name.

thecakebadge · 26/10/2020 09:35

Nope. Middle name only I think.

Yennefer19 · 26/10/2020 09:32

Would you be able to use Moores as a middle name instead and then use your maiden name as the surname?

Jessbow · 26/10/2020 09:28

No You can't. You Just cant.
