Too little women?

So have a Dd called Josephine, Josie or probably more commonly Jo for short.

Due DS soon and going through our shortlist of names. One on the list is Laurence, Laurie for short but occurred to me that we'd have named both our children after lead characters from Little women. Would people think this if hearing the names together and think it's a bit twee or am I thinking too much into it?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It’s one of my favourite books and although I’d make the connection I wouldn’t think it odd. They didn’t even end up together!

DramaAlpaca · 26/10/2020 00:00

I'd make the connection immediately.

The names go well together though.

I'd make the connection, sure, but it's a fairly innocuous one.
The names are lovely.

I’ve never read little women so they sound fine to me!

I think Jo and Laurie together will remind most people of Little Women. I do like both names but I wouldn’t use both together.

If one is a boy, no one will think Little Women!

Thinking too much. Like the combo.
