Too Similar for Sisters?

I think I already know the answer to this but just wanted to check.

I have 6 year old named Josephine who gets called Josie almost all the time.

I am expecting another girl. I love the name Margaret but not hugely keen on Maggie or Meg as short versions. I wouldn't want to call her Margaret all the time and know that would probably result in Maggie getting used by others. I love Maisie. But Josie and Maisie?! What do you think?

I think they sound great together!

It's fine.
The s in Josie is not the same as the s in Maisie.

Josie and Maisie is fine. Margaret is lovely, though - could you use Margot as a diminutive? Or I knew a Margaret who was Peggy. Indeed, I also know a couple of Margarets who have always just gone by Margaret; people will probably take their lead from you on that.

Don't think they are similar at all Smile

Personally, I think the nickname combination sounds rather twee and I also think Maggie is a great nickname, or even Aggie. Do you like the name Margot? To me, that sounds good with Josie but avoids the matching.

I think it’s fine too! Josephine and Margaret are very different so I think it’s ok.

I think that's fine!
