...is a strong contender for our soon to be born baby, if a girl.

My first DD (aged 18 months) is Robyn.

Is Robyn and Holly a bit... Christmassy? Neither are Christmas babies.

Or am I overthinking it?

Holly was/is my number one girls name! But our surname is Day! Apparently Holly Day sounds too much like holiday!!!
So we have a Poppy!!
Go for it, I love it

It's fine. You might get the odd comment, especially if you and the father are called Carol and Noel.

OneKeyAtATime · 08/10/2020 22:12

I don't think so. Lovely names too.

IndieRo · 08/10/2020 22:10

I don't think of Robyn or Holly as Christmassy. My niece is Robyn and she was born in May. I think Robyn and Holly go lovely together, very pretty names. My cousin has a Holly, Daisy and Willow, so very flowery and forest like which I love too.

FecktheBoss · 08/10/2020 22:04

I have a Holly, she never gets asked if she is a Christmas baby. If you like the name, go for it.

mumtobabygilrl · 08/10/2020 22:02

To Christmassy I'm afraid. I love robin for a boy but we have vetoed that as we have an ivy and it feels to Christmassy to have both - shame

Marlena1 · 08/10/2020 22:01

I love it, love Robyn too. I considered Holly but worried as it was October but Holly is an all year round plant :) Hallie is also nice.

StayClosePooky · 08/10/2020 21:54

I love the name Holly, go for it

DramaAlpaca · 08/10/2020 21:28

No, too Christmassy. It's a shame as they sound nice together.

Britannah · 08/10/2020 21:26

Personally I think it’s too Christmassy, sorry OP! X

icedaisy · 08/10/2020 21:11

Ooohh it's my top choice at moment as well but I'm due Christmas Day. Also swaying to Hollie as I have a thing for ie names.

legohaus · 08/10/2020 21:10

I think it's pretty Christmassy too, but DH says not.

I mean, I do really like Christmas, but not THAT much...

I think it’s very Christmassy.

Natalie654321 · 08/10/2020 21:08

I think it's a bit too christmassy.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/10/2020 21:04

I think it’s fine. Plus FWIW I don’t see Robyn as a namesake for the Robin bird as it’s a different spelling.

Breakupcharlie · 08/10/2020 21:04

When I saw Holly I first thought how lovely as it was popular a few years ago but died down a lot.

Maybe Robyn and Holly is a little Christmassy? Maybe Harriet?
