What do you think of this name? Is it usable.

Love it. DHs oldest friend and his (ex) wife have one. I hadn’t heard of it until they used it for their second daughter. Beautiful name.

PatchworkElmer · 08/10/2020 21:50

I really like it.

abitfunny · 08/10/2020 21:47

I wouldn’t use it personally as it’s a mouthful to say, but it does sound nice! I knew one, so spelt Serafina. Everyone called her Fina which was sweet

AaronCardigan · 08/10/2020 21:03

I loved this name. My horrible husband vetoed it though. I will use it somehow though!

Firebird83 · 08/10/2020 20:59

Definitely usable.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 08/10/2020 19:09

I know one little Seraphina - it's a lovely name which is both cute for a child and beautiful for a woman.

midsomermurderess · 08/10/2020 19:02

Of course it's usable. I think it's a bit frilly. Quite a name to inhabit.

EuphieKat · 08/10/2020 18:53

I knew a few little girls (ranging in age from 6-13) called Seraphina. It’s pretty!

RuudGullitOnAShed · 08/10/2020 18:25

Beautiful.

bridgetreilly · 08/10/2020 18:21

It's fine. I have a slight preference for Serafina.

Could have Sera as a nn.

TweeBree · 08/10/2020 16:57

Ben Affleck/Jennifer Garner have a Seraphina.

ImaSababa · 08/10/2020 16:54

Gorgeous name.

SequinSmile · 08/10/2020 15:20

I like it!

Annasgirl · 08/10/2020 13:16

I love it. DN took it for her confirmation name and I thought - oh if I had known about that name I would have used it (had I also had more than one DD Grin. Use it, it is beautiful.

And also word of advice - never, ever, share your preferred name for your baby with people until you give the child the name - someone will always say something awful about it if they feel they can change your mind (or maybe that is just my MIL).

JemimaTiggywinkle · 08/10/2020 13:13

I really like it, having read northern lights.

But it is quite unusual and I would be worried about your daughter constantly having to repeat her name. And explain that it’s all her first name and she’s not saying “Sarah Fina”.

SeanCailleach · 08/10/2020 13:02

Love it, gorgeous name.

MikeUniformMike · 08/10/2020 12:40

Too frilly for my taste.

RuthW · 08/10/2020 12:12

It's lovely

ifiwasascent · 08/10/2020 12:07

I love this name I've recently added it to my list!

ZebraKid71 · 08/10/2020 10:24

It's too frilly for me but totally usable. There were actually two in a baby group I took my eldest to once - I've never heard it in real life previously or since! I like the range of nickname options.

mrsrobin · 08/10/2020 09:18

lovely :)

Auto · 08/10/2020 09:17

Seraphina is a lovely name. I wouldn't use the f spelling (reminds me of Fina petrol stations).

JM10 · 07/10/2020 23:57

I like it. My only concern would be would people call her Sera, which sounds like Sarah. Nothing against Sarah, but if you're going for Seraphina, Sarah probably wouldn't be on your list. I suppose you can push other nicknames though.

AlwaysLatte · 07/10/2020 23:51

Lovely name, very classic.

Blavatskyite · 07/10/2020 23:44

@Weaverspin

She’s the chief witch from Philip Pullman’s Northern Lights. Seraphina Pekkala. Possibly Serafina.
And drop-dead gorgeous and Ice-cool.
