Expecting a baby boy this year. I'm English, husband is Greek.

Baby will have massive double barrel Greek-English name.

DP is keen on Jason (Ιάσων), to him it's just a good Greek name that translates well to English (we live in England)

To me, Jason is a 45 year old mechanic who has a wife 3 kids and goes to the same hotel in Majorca every year.

I'm a twat, aren't I? How do I get this out of my head, it's a perfectly fine name, isn't it?

I've actually always rather liked the name Jason. It's not used much now but I think it's very useable still and probably due a revival.

Jason and the Argonauts gives it a bit of a heroic theme.

The nickname Jay is ok too (but not Jase!)

Yep Jason is definitely mid 40s with a boring job and has friends called Barry, Dave and Gary.

My son had a jason in his class. Similar situation, mum wasn't British. Not sure where she was from but could have been greece. I don't mind the name Jason. It hasn't aged that badly.

Got to be due a comeback at some point! I associate it immediately with Jason Donovan which probably makes it very easy to guess my age. But I'm not sure my taste is widely shared, I'm very keen for a Barry revival also Grin

I really like Jason! It’s a nice solid boys name. Jacob is extremely popular so I don’t see why Jason can’t have a comeback.

I know a 25 year old Jason. It's OK, dated to English ears but nothing wrong with it.

I know a lovely 6 year old Jason. I think I would agree with you before meeting him but he has changed my mind and now Jason to me is great!
