Boys Names - add to our list please...

On our "kinda maybe" list just now are :
Archer
Leo
Jax
Hunter
Axel
Xander
Lincoln

I'm not keen on names that can be shortened. NN I don't mind, but not shortened versions (nb. Aware Archer would get Archie so that's putting me off) DP likes really masculine names like Dominic for example.

Top 2 currently are Grayson and Cody. OH recently said Jaxson but I'm unsure...

Our little girl was to be Jaxon if she was a boy.

I suggested Grayson to DP but he's not a fan, says its too surnamey for him - he's hard to please!

Another one I liked was Caelum but that got shot down by him too.

What's everyone's thoughts on Leo? Is that quite popular these days? Is there any variation on it? Like Leon kinda thing

Axel isn't too out there I don't think @OnNaturesCourse
I know of one already via a friend of a friend and it sounded like a nice name to me. There's a lot of variety these days, I think you'd have to try harder to shock people. The only baby names that surprise me these days are names like Alan or Keith (nice names just very unusual)

We have a dog called Axl (guns n roses spelling) and it’s shortened to Ax all the time. Or Axey.

Yes, so far Axel is the winning name for us. Just worried its a little "too" out there, and guns & roses lol

Most names no matter how short can be shortened, and. If they can’t be shortened they’re just as likely to be lengthened. Leo and Jax granted you can’t do much with them but they could become Lee and Jack. Zander could become Zan Axel (Axe).

I have no issues with names being lengthened, I'm just not keen on names that are obviously going to get shortened like Jackson to Jack, Dominic to Dom kind of thing.

Cody and Blake were on my list but DP didn't like them unfortunately. I am going to ask him about Colt tho, I like it!
