Hello! We’re pregnant with our third child and don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet and looking for a name that goes with both of those which means probably old English sounding but open to ideas! I’ve always preferred vowel names or ‘rounder’ or softer sounding names but again open to suggestions. Thank you!

Olive Hazel would be fab.

Pudding01 · 17/12/2020 16:58

Erin and Emily came to my mind.

Would work with your Iris flower middle name too 🙂

LottieDot · 17/12/2020 11:51

Oh or Eliza! Eliza Willow, Eliza Autumn, Eliza Dove etc

LottieDot · 17/12/2020 11:45

Elsie would be lovely! Also really like Olive.

Immediate thought was Oscar or Oliver for a boy. For a girl... Eleanor or Una?

Abbyhambrook85 · 16/12/2020 22:54

Sorry thought above comment would link to imisscoffees reply not just do a general post!

Thank you all so much for all the amazing suggestions! We know it’s a girl now so that narrows it down. There were a few new ones on there I hadn’t thought of, I too seem to like the sound of E’s with Arthur and ivy (Edith, Enid etc) poster who said that! Glad that my probably top three names were all mentioned too (Ada, Olive, Iris) and also loved the plant/ nature name suggestions as I’m looking for a middle name like that to go with middle names of the kids (Fox and Wren) so Clover, Hazel, autumn all help trying to piece something together! Middle name help will probably be my next question 😂 thank you everyone!

@midsomermurderess

Arthur and Ivy are the names of Richard Bacon's children. I' agree with a pp, Mabel.
I was going to ask if OP was Richard Bacon’s wife because that’s exactly what though my head
