Is Fauna usable?

Roman goddess of forests and wildlife. I've always thought this name was pretty. Does it sound too much like a scientific term? Is the Disney connection (fairy from Sleeping Beauty) too strong? Is it just too weird for a baby name?

Sounds like a unanimous no 😁 I had a feeling it would be!

Only if you want all her friends to think you’ve lost the plot.

It's lovely but...

No!

CarolVordermansBum · 30/09/2020 19:55

I love it but I would use it as a middle name

Pumpkinsquash12 · 30/09/2020 19:55

How about just fawn?

Flora is much better though

lottiegarbanzo · 30/09/2020 19:55

There are plenty of cool and interesting (if mostly also rather destructive) Graeco-Roman goddesses e.g. Artemis, Minerva, Juno.

Tootletum · 30/09/2020 19:54

No.

Nackajory · 30/09/2020 19:53

Not unless you've got twins and are going to call the other one flora.

riotlady · 30/09/2020 19:53

I don’t think it is, sorry!

lottiegarbanzo · 30/09/2020 19:53

NO.

Flora and fauna. You can use Flora though!
