This is really difficult as I like most of them.

  1. Olivia - I wish I could get past the popularity because this is so classical and beautiful.
  2. Emily- like Charlotte and Alice in feel/style but I prefer the sound of those.
  3. Rosie - too cute for me but if it were Rose this would be no1.
  4. Charlotte - a distinguished classic.
  5. Alice - similar feeling to Charlotte to me, English classic.
  6. Isabelle - lovely and elegant but the Isabel spelling is so much nicer (less frilly) unless you have French heritage.
Firebird83 · 25/10/2020 21:52

Alice is my favourite

Raffaella13 · 25/10/2020 21:48

Rosie
Olivia
Emily
Alice
Charlotte
Isabelle

Charlotte - this is joint favourite with Alice for me - they are both classic and lovely.
Alice

Emily - I like it but find it a little bland. I prefer Amelie or Elodie
Isabelle - I prefer the Isabel spelling. It's nice but I know about 300 thousand so I'm a bit bored of it.

Rosie - I don't like it. It's twee. I like Rosanna and love Rosalind though.
Olivia - boring

ButterflyOfFreedom · 28/09/2020 12:09

Charlotte

I prefer Emma to Emily.

There are lots of Olivia's about but it is a lovely name.

Not as keen on Isabelle, Alice or Rosie. Rosa is quite nice though.

SebandAlice · 28/09/2020 12:07

Aww congratulations @Missdrifter I agree Alice is a gorgeous timeless classic and barely hear the name where I live. I will certainly let you all know what we went for X

A lovely short list of names.
We have just had an Alice and have had lots of compliments on her names. We don’t actual know any other Alices.

Emily is such a gorgeous name but there are already three in my family/ circle of close friends.
I like all of the other names on your list but we went with Alice because felt it’s a timeless classic and slightly less common than perhaps the others.

I think Alice Emily sounds lovely together or Alice Isabel!
Let us know what you go for.

Squeakerfoot · 24/09/2020 16:14

Isabel
Alice
Charlotte
Emily
Olivia
Rosie (but I like it as a nickname)

sibbys · 24/09/2020 15:08

Alice
Rosie
Olivia
Isabelle
Charlotte
Emily

All really popular so she will probably go by first name + last name.

mollyminniemo · 24/09/2020 15:00
  1. Isabelle
  2. Alice
  3. Emily
  4. Charlotte
  5. Rosie (love Rose but Rosie too twee for me)
  6. Olivia
Mish85 · 24/09/2020 14:46

Rosie
Alice
Emily
Charlotte
Olivia
Isabelle

Lockdownfatigue · 24/09/2020 13:29

Alice
Emily
Isobel (much prefer that spelling. If Isabelle that bumps it down to last)
Olivia
Rosie (FAR prefer Rose)
Charlotte

All very common names. Which are nice enough but don’t love any apart from Alice and Emily. Popularity would put me off, IMO it makes them nondescript. But plenty of people love those names or they would be so popular!!

Olivia
Emily
Rosie
Charlotte
Alice
Isabelle

CatteStreet · 24/09/2020 13:24

Emily
Charlotte
Rosie (much prefer Rosa, though)
Isabelle (nice but done to death and I prefer Isabel)
Alice
Olivia

This is coming from a position of liking, but not loving (with the possible exception of Emily), them all.

Pickles89 · 24/09/2020 13:20

Charlotte - beautiful name. Lottie rather than Charlie for NN though.
Rosie - If I'd had a daughter I would have called her Roseanna
Isabelle - Prefer Isobel spelling. Belle over Izzy as a NN.
Alice
Emily/Olivia - don't specially like either of these. I do like Ophelia though, which is much less common that Olivia. Romily is an unusual name too, without being 'made up', if you like Emily.

Write them all down with your surname, and see which flows best.

FippertyGibbett · 24/09/2020 13:11

Emily definitely.
You have to think about how the name will suit her when she’s an adult.

Peachbubble · 24/09/2020 13:09

From your revised list:

Charlotte
Emily
Alice
Rosie (although I prefer Rose)

Coco9876 · 24/09/2020 12:45

Thankyou for your feedback so far, goodness It's such a difficult decision isn't it, I think we're going to take Olivia off the list as it has been the most popular name for a number of years now and possibly isabelle, I'm not sure I love it as much as the others. That leaves Emily, Rosie, Charlotte and Alice to work with. I am wondering is Rosie is a bit too cute but I'm not keen on the longer versions unfortunately. I'm pleased to hear nobody thinks any of the names are ridiculous, Thankyou X

Alice - one of my absolute favourites, it’s just a perfect name to me
Emily/Olivia - both timeless and beautiful
Isabelle/Charlotte - both lovely, but I don’t love them if that makes sense
Rosie - I’m not big on nickname names

LotusClover · 24/09/2020 11:24
  1. Emily - one of my all time favourites. Timeless, classic, feminine without being too frilly, and just beautiful.
  1. Olivia - very popular at the moment, but pretty. Love this name. As long as the popularity doesn't put you off, it's a good choice.
  1. Charlotte - same as Emily really, timeless, fits all ages, and looks and sounds really pretty.
  1. Isabelle - I prefer the Isabel spelling, but either way it's too bland for me. And also really popular at the moment.
  1. Rosie - not keen. It's too cutesy and not a full name for me, it works better as a nickname for something like Rosanna. Rose and Rosa are much nicer alternatives.
  1. Alice - I've always really disliked this name, it has a harsh sound and is just really plain. Though it is timeless and fits all ages.
princesssparklesea · 24/09/2020 10:48

Charlotte
Olivia
Emily
Isabelle
(I like all of the above)

(And these names much less...)
Rosie
Alice
