Names for our little boy!

We're so stuck with names for our little one!

Definitely into more unusual names and this is what we're considering so far:

Nico
Astro
Otis
Bryson
Grey
Remy

Tend to prefer shorter names as you can see, welcome thoughts and ideas!

I did think Astro turf myself when DH first mentioned it but it's grown on me a lot. I do think kids are capable of making up a name for just about anyone though!

A lot of love for Nico! I really like it's just DH who is less keen.

Arlo is nice and I like Amos too and Miles!!

I have a feeling we won't set a name till he's here and we see what suits him!!

Love nico and bryson. But would go for bryson personally myself.

Astro = astroturf - don't do it, also because the inevitable (and only!) short form is Ass!!!

Nico and Otis are both fab strong names. Otis definitely more popular though. I'd go for Nico

Bryson sounds like a surname to me.

Agree Astro is too similar to Astro turf. Asher or Ashwin could be good alternatives?

I think now that most high schools have an astro turf there will be a weird association. When astro turf was more unusual it wouldn't have been an issue. But kids can be mean.

Love Nico! I have a 4 month old Otis and know of 2 other babies with the same name. It seems to be getting really popular.

Quite like Remy although I don’t think I’d chose it myself. I like Miles more, Guy and Louis.

Remy I love this name but I know for some people it's not the most traditional
Nico-nice name
Otis sweet don't mind alot of dogs have the name however
Bryson don't like but don't hate
Grey hate now bc of eastenders sorry
Astro just no

Oh there was a smurf called Astro too (a spaceman smurf).

Basically it's a tropey name for cartoon characters in outer-space settings.

I like all of them except Astro (which I associate with a space-whale from an obscure Pinocchio sequel, the dog from the Jetsons and the Astro Boy franchise).

I'm not keen on Bryson but love the rest. Especially Astro and Nico.

What about:
Atlas, Orion, Jesse, Sol, Saul, Digby, Rex, Osian, Caspian.

@LuckyFlash Ouh I'm glad you said about Astro as it's probably the one we've agreed on most but also the most unusual so feels a little daunting to go with it!

@FluffyEggsontoast I love Axel and Cole too!
