Glad most Of you are saying Isobel.
To me Isabelle is a bit frilly, and Isabel doesn't look right to me, so I was swaying with Isobel.

Ishbel sounds awful!

I prefer Isabelle. Something about Isobel really jars me

They're different names that I would pronounce differently:
Isabel - IS abel
Isabelle - isa BELLE
Isobel - IS obel

I remember an Ishbel from a holiday in the north of Scotland in the 1950s. A lovely, soft sounding name.

Isabel for me, I think it sounds nicest with the 'a' sound rather than the 'o' sound in the middle and is easier for a little girl to learn to spell as most people will say it that way whichever way you spell it.
