Julian nn Jules is ok
August at a pinch

Marina is smart
Rosemary is quite nice
The rest of the girls names are ok but not my favourites

Ruthietuthie · 17/09/2020 03:28

Have you thought of Balonz?

sorryforswearing · 16/09/2020 18:15

Heather I like. Jules is ok although I think it is better for a girl and I think of it as a shortened form of a proper name. I’m afraid I really don’t like the others.

lanbro · 16/09/2020 18:09

Love Adelaide and Paloma, and Devon and Woody

CakeRattleandRoll · 16/09/2020 18:08

Caspian or Rufus
Margot (with t) or Marina

itsjakeandamy · 16/09/2020 17:22

Missed the updated list:

Caspian - lovely
August - nice
Jules - as above, I like pp's suggestion of Julius though
Rufus - gorgeous!
Cliff/Clifford - big red dog!

Margo - super popular. I'd spell it Margot though. I prefer it to your other girls' names
Rosemary - ok
Marina - see above. Really don't like
Heather - ok
Adelaide - 2nd favourite

itsjakeandamy · 16/09/2020 17:18

Your lists are interesting because they contain names with really different vibes and feels.

Jules - it's ok. I tend to think of middle aged middle class men with floppy hair.
August - I really like this. Gus is a good nickname as well. The main character in Wonder is called August.
Forrest - I don't like this. Just Gump.
Devon - so 80s. I don't think it's due a revival yet.
Clay - nothing nice about this.
Caspian - I love this name. It's gorgeous and stylish.
Fox - good as a middle name, naff as a first name.
Orion - it's ok.
Woody - I may be a child of the 790s but even Toy Story hasn't stopped me assuming people are talking about erections when I hear this
Bear - too Jamie Oliver

For girls we like:
Heather - nice
Paloma - ok. I automatically think of Paloma Faith.
Storm - don't like at all
Marina - a place to moor your boat! Not a pleasant word imo. Carina is nicer
Adelaide - I like this
Rosemary - this is ok. Seems a little middle aged to me. I prefer Rosamund or Rosalind.
Mango - sorry but this is hideous.

Edenember · 15/09/2020 20:51

August and Adelaide

TheMarzipanDildo · 14/09/2020 16:14

Margot I like, put the t on it!

TheMarzipanDildo · 14/09/2020 16:13

I loved that your list went

Rosemary- nice trad name (IMO)
Mango- random as anything

VenusClapTrap · 14/09/2020 16:09

August from your boys list.

I like all your girls names except Heather. Margot needs the t.

PoodleMoth · 13/09/2020 20:13

Caspian and Marina

Unseeliequeen · 11/09/2020 11:48

Storm-drain or Mango.
Potentially Mongoose.

consideratealpaca · 11/09/2020 11:39

Rufus is nice. I don't like the others.

Margot is beautiful, it was on my list. It needs the t on the end though.

Ellmau · 08/09/2020 17:48

Rufus and Marina

sunglassesonthetable · 08/09/2020 09:03

Not my style really but

August ( actually love this )

Rosemary

FizzyGreenWater · 08/09/2020 09:00

Oh sorry missed your updated list!

Rufus 100%, please NO to Clifford!

Margot but please with the t. That is how it is spelled!

FizzyGreenWater · 08/09/2020 08:57

Jules - only if Julian on bc
August - ok, sounds feminine, Augustus better
Forrest - the name of the disgusting pro-smoking group, bleurgh
Devon - girl's name
Clay - foul
Caspian - ok
Fox - ok
Orion - ok
Woody - bit naff
Bear - ok

Heather - so utterly depressing
Paloma - ok
Storm - dreadful
Marina - surprisingly boring, and bad short options
Adelaide - also tremendously boring/depressing
Rosemary - ok. Bit boring (a theme here!)
Mango - dreadful

What a weird list, especially for girls - either totally nuts or, of the more 'traditional' options, you've gone for longish/clunky/boring.

How about Otis for a boy, and Ramona for a girl?

LilacSloth · 07/09/2020 20:53

August and Adelaide

mamah2019 · 07/09/2020 20:33

You have an amazing name taste, right up my street!
I love Caspian, Jules and Paloma on your lists. To be honest I liked them all.

Viletta · 07/09/2020 18:21

Mango! Unisex

BabyLlamaZen · 07/09/2020 14:02

what about Julius but jules for short. Jules is very feminine so think it would be good if his full name isn't.

Flynn2019 · 07/09/2020 13:54

To be honest I am of a different opinion than everyone else. I dislike Heather and Rosemary the most. They are the 'blah'. Love Forest and Woody for a boy. Girls wide I like Paloma.
I hate the boring usual names x

Puffalicious · 07/09/2020 13:50

Rufus only boy's name which is nice. Heather/ Margot ( only with the t) for girls.

Have Fox as the middle name for either! My cousin's little boy has Danger as a middle name which is magic!

threecatsandcounting · 07/09/2020 13:44

For a boy I would choose Caspian or Fox from your list, for a girl it would be Paloma or Storm. Your list of names are lovely, some of the nicest I've seen on here instead of the usual boring "Charlotte, Emily, Olivia, William, Jack, Henry"
