Using the same name as an acquaintances daughter?

Ok so she’s more than an acquaintance- she’s a friend from school who I probably see 2/3 times a year at the absolute max. More part of a wider social circle but very good friends with one of my best friends.

Her youngest daughter is called Ivy - a name I had loved for a while - before I was pregnant, before she had her 1 year old.

I’m considered other names too but I’d discounted Ivy early on because of this but now I can’t stop thinking about it.

Thoughts?

Use it. It’s not like she’s your sister’s child.

I personally wouldn’t call my child the same as my friends or acquaintance, as people would probably assume I’ve copied them and that in itself puts me off wanting my child to have the same name , but ultimately it’s your choice and you have to go for a name you feel happy with and Ivy is a beautiful name , would you consider other similar names like Isla , Isabelle or Ivory?
