I am massively going round in circles here... but... thoughts in these two? Baby due in 3 weeks, don't know the sex!

Which sounds best with the surname?

Prefer Greg to Fran/Frank.

Gregor Badger or Francis Badger
Greg Badger or Fran(k) Badger?

Firebird83 · 27/08/2020 23:35

Both are great! I think I prefer Francis

LunaLoved · 27/08/2020 21:45

Really dislike Francis. Its a 'wet' sounding name.

Gregor is fab.

DramaAlpaca · 27/08/2020 21:40

I love Gregor.

Francis is OK but middle name territory only for me as I don't like any of the diminutives. I think of Fran as a girls' name.

Mashingthecompost · 27/08/2020 21:35

Prefer Gregory to Gregor. Fran is cute too though. Greg is an underrated name, agree with PP.

Joolsin · 27/08/2020 21:34

Love Gregor (not keen on Greg, though)
Don't like Francis at all.

TheRosariojewels · 27/08/2020 21:23

Gregor

Theyweretheworstoftimes · 27/08/2020 21:06

I like Gregor.

Gregory was on my list. Underrated name.

badg3r · 27/08/2020 21:04

I think I like Greg more than frank but do really like fran as a nickname (massive travis fan in my day!). I had considered using them both as a first and middle name, but worried it is a bit too many Pope names!!

Francis

peajotter · 27/08/2020 21:01

I like them both. What do you prefer for a nickname, Greg or Frank? Because that’s probably what his mates will call him as he gets older, even if you insist on the full name as a child.
