Girl name help!

We've been set on the name Freya for our girl due in 4 weeks but now the ons popular name list is out and gutted it's number 10! DS has a more unique name and I love that it's not common yet not too weird. Others on our list were Summer, Quinn, Skye, Alannah. I like Lavender and Lilac but DH doesn't - too out there?
Any suggestions for other girls names?

Primrose! Love it. Although I’m inclined to agree with others saying stick with Freya - I’m surprised to hear it’s so popular; I’ve only met one.

Freya is lovely name, I only know one. And I know only one Alannah, age 7.

I like Freya better than any of your new suggestions. Also, just think about it: only just over 2100 babies were named Freya in the whole country last year. The chances of your daughter being in a class with another one, let alone several are still tiny.

I'd just stick with Freya, tbh.

I'm not keen on flower names for girls, I like Audrey, Joan and Isadora. Elowen is gorgeous

Not Quinn. It’s terrible.
Primrose and Isadora are nice.
Not Everly.
Instead of Freya, have you considered other Scandinavian/Germanic names? Ingrid. Heidi. Greta. Astrid. Or Fiona?

Freya is a nice enough name but I actually like all your other options much better. Especially love Quinn, Alannah and Everly.

Apart from Freya, you seem to like quite unusual, slightly quirky names? How about:

I love Isadora and Summer! Freya is beautiful- was actually our one of our top names for dd but my friends has a daughter with that name so didn't go with it in the end.

How popular a name is not that much of an issue because you might choose a less popular name and still find that there are more than one in a peer group.

Most people go through life as Firstname Surname. If you have a common surname add an unusual middle name - not Rose, Grace or May.

My DC had names that were popular in their age group but the surname was quite unusual.

From your new list Primrose is my favourite.

However as others have said if you like Freya I'd go with it. Just because it's popular on a country wide basis doesn't mean it is locally.

DS name doesn't feature on the top 100 in England and Wales but is top 50 here in Scotland. I've still never met another one under 30.

His best friends name is top 20 on that England and Wales list and I've never met another ever.

I love the name Freya but also felt it was too popular. We chose Elowen for our daughter. I also like Isadora from your list.

I love Quinn too! I don’t think kids these days say Quim, my teens wouldn’t have a clue what it meant.
