"Brock. New favourite this week 😂"

I know a Brock!

Frazzlerock · 04/09/2020 10:16

I like Jasper, its on my original list but I had to get rid of it as DP's not keen. Interesting a few names from my original list have been mentioned Smile

Haha yes I know a few clumsy Grace's. Lovely name though.

Frazzlerock · 04/09/2020 09:39

Hero is quite a name to live up to! A bit like Grace which I've always loved for a girl but worry she might be the complete opposite of graceful (like me)

Dexter is fab

Giganticshark · 04/09/2020 09:35

Dexter, nixon, Huxley, onyx, fox, lex

Hero? (I love this!)

Giganticshark · 04/09/2020 09:32

Austin?

Rudy

Frazzlerock · 04/09/2020 09:16

ooh Felix... Maybe! Not sure I'm too enamoured with the sound 'Fee' at the beginning though, but I rather like a name with an 'X' in it.

IslaMann · 04/09/2020 09:12

I love Felix. Means lucky so has extra meaning after your sad losses 💐
Was on the list for our miracle baby.

Frazzlerock · 04/09/2020 09:09

@EugeniaGrace a (kind of) ex named his child Raphael and calls him Rafi. That bothers me about Rafferty/Rafi, I adore the name and would love to use it (if DP ever agreed) but I'd worry the ex would start wondering why we used such a similar name. So I feel like its been taken out of our hands really. Sigh...

Sorry that was a bit of a drip feed as I didn't mention is before, but I do love it. Maybe when/if we retire we will get a dog and call it Rafferty Smile

EugeniaGrace · 04/09/2020 05:12

It’s a good list as it is. Pronouncing Seth as Seff would bother me.

Raphael (can still nickname Rafi)
Hugo
I liked the suggestion of Rory
Joseph

Marcus
Eli

@Sunflowers24 nothing as far as I'm concerned, I think he means a more eccentric style suit but I don't think there's anything wrong with being eccentric and would prefer it over a tracksuit and chain necklaces.

OP posts:
Sunflowers24 · 28/08/2020 12:45

imagines him in suit and cravat

What's wrong with that? Confused

Better than a tracksuit and chain necklaces...

Frazzlerock · 28/08/2020 11:37

@17caterpillars1mouse I have Rafferty on my list too but took it off as DP thinks it is pretentious and imagines him in suit and cravat! I LOVE it and would love to use it if DP wasn't averse. Really like Raf or Rafi for short.

Oh wow that meaning behind Seth is really beautiful. So sorry to hear about your 4 babies.
💔💔💔💔 💐 @Frazzlerock

I think the name Seth fits your DP popularity criteria perfectly. It's certainly more unusual than your other son's top 10 names and, as I said, it's numbers are now declining each and every year since 2014 so it's much less popular than it was 5 years ago and trend looks set to continue, so definitely not a name that's about to boom up the top 100 the way Ezra and Arlo did. Your DP might be encouraged to use the name by looking at the graph of the official numbers:

Frazzlerock · 28/08/2020 09:49

I'm not really bothered about popularity. I have 2 boys with names consistently in the top 10. However, DP would rather have something slightly more unusual but fairly traditional and not too 'out there' at the same time.
