Margot Olivia or Olivia margot. Forget the other two names

GinWithRosie · 21/08/2020 09:03

I can't ever hear the name India now without immediately going to the interview with Katie Hopkins, when she was absolutely slating parents who called their children names of geographical places...and Philip Schofield reminds her that her child is called India 😂. Hilarious.

She also, in that interview, slates seasonal names, fruits and flowers etc...and they remind her that she has a daughter named Poppy 🤦‍♀️

The woman is beyond awful!!

Here it is, if you've never seen it...it's hilarious (in a cringeworthy way!)

tinselmom · 21/08/2020 08:22

I agree with PP, I like Margot Olivia way better!

rottiemum88 · 21/08/2020 03:24

As a PP suggested, I'd go 'Margot Olivia' rather than with any of your combinations

CoffeeRunner · 21/08/2020 03:22

I like India Wren.

I really dislike the name Olivia & for some reason I can’t make myself like Margot either.

I don’t see India being a place name as an issue TBH. It’s not like you’re planning to name your DD Scunthorpe or Much-Wenlock.

ElizabethMainwaring · 21/08/2020 02:58

@Giraffey1

Wren? Odd choice. Not a great name. Olivia, ok. Margot? Old fashioned. Shades of To the Manor Born ... India, ok, I had a colleague called this.
Margot Ledbetter was a character in The Good Life. Audrey Fforbes-Hamilton was in To The Manor Born. Both played by Penelope Keith.

I'd avoid Olivia as it is sooo popular.
Wren as a middle name is good.
India is okay, but I'm not keen on the whole place name thing like pps.
Margot is my favourite.

Krazynights34 · 21/08/2020 02:07

Wren is cute
Olivia and Margot are classic
I think Olivia Wren makes sense..
Olivia Grace .. another classic combination

4kidmom · 21/08/2020 01:55

Olivia Wren sounds just right

Foggymist · 20/08/2020 22:25

I love Wren, and I love Olivia, not sure they go together. I'd put Wren with something else, if you prefer not to though Wren Olivia is nice.

MeMeMeYou · 20/08/2020 22:21

Olivia Wren

sweetnosugar · 20/08/2020 22:19

Olivia Wren, I love it!

remainin · 20/08/2020 21:28

Indi 500

BrutusMcDogface · 20/08/2020 21:02

How about indie?

Enderman · 20/08/2020 21:01

I love India.

Wren is just awful.

Not overly keen on Margot.

BrutusMcDogface · 20/08/2020 21:01

Wren is weird. And the more I see it written here, the weirder it looks to me.

That said, Olivia wren does flow nicely and sounds quite pretty.

Firebird83 · 20/08/2020 20:58

I don’t really like any of them, sorry. Margot Olivia would be nice.

Hepcat75 · 20/08/2020 09:07

I love Margot. Much prettier than Margaret which sounds very harsh and middle-aged. Margaret wears brogues and thinks we should bring back hanging. Maggie is quite nice.
Olivia is fine.
I think Wren is a bit affected, but not awful.
India isn't the least bit offensive 🙄 but it's Katie Hopkins' daughter's name and I personally can't get past that.

JadesRollerDisco · 20/08/2020 09:02

Along the bird theme I think India Magpie would be nicer than India Margot

eatsleepbreastfeedrepeat · 20/08/2020 09:00

user1493494961 Wren is a songbird. I personally think it’s a very pretty name.

Notajogger · 19/08/2020 23:26

Wren is not a good name imo. Sounds silly and as pp said a nondescript bird. Also don't like India, she may find it hard to be taken seriously when older (same for Wren actually).
Olivia is nice and Margot interesting - how about Olivia Margot?

BabyItsAWildWorld · 19/08/2020 23:18

Wren and India are lovely.

Olivia is nice but now overused.

Middle names don't matter

Coronacurls · 19/08/2020 23:17

@BouncyCastle12 what if she doesn't get married or (shock horror) get married and keep her birth name!!

user1493494961 · 19/08/2020 23:08

Wren is awful, it's a nondescript bird. Olivia is lovely but it depends if the popularity bothers you, probably not as it's on your list. Dislike Margot, India is nice.

stophuggingme · 19/08/2020 23:02

@yesicandoit
Katie after my sister and her much loved aunt

stophuggingme · 19/08/2020 23:01
@stophuggingme my daughter is Wren Kate ! I think it really works great name btw.

Margot is gaining popularity and it's nice. India I like the sound of it, but couldn't use it as a name. Have you been to a India or have links to it. I studied in a India for part of my degree, and the thing that strikes me most is the poverty. The divide.
Wren Kate is lovely Smile
