I don't like flower names. Daisy in particular sounds like a child not an adult.

At uni I knew a poppy who just didn't suit a flower name ....

OhTheRoses · 21/08/2020 09:11

Our list is 22 years old op but other options on it were:

Imogen
Isabel
Alice

August20 · 21/08/2020 07:08

Ohh I really like Beatrice!

frolicmum · 21/08/2020 06:40

Thanks for the reassurance on Louis.

I do love Lily and Rose but I hear them everywhere. I always thought I have a rose but have around 4 Rosie's around me.

I also thought about Beatrice / Beatrix, calling her Bea, B, Trix, Trixie, Tris.

It’s really cute.

I think of Louis as a proper name that suits all ages but I do think of Daisy as more of a children's name or a nickname.

However I'm not sure why as I don't feel that way about Lily or Rose.

OhTheRoses · 20/08/2020 22:30

Love it. DH vetoed it for dd 22 years ago!

MikeUniformMike · 20/08/2020 22:26

Of course Louis is a grown up name.
That Vuitton chap was probably a grown man when he set up his business, and the 1st Earl of Burma was 79 when he was assassinated and I don't think that France had 19 boy kings.

frolicmum · 20/08/2020 22:15

No I do need people to honest but heard people say this about my sons name (Louis), spoken Louie that it's not a grown up name

Enderman · 20/08/2020 20:53

Too cutsey and twee. It’s not a grown up name.

Figgygal · 20/08/2020 20:12

Personally I feel sorry for children with this name

It’s a cutesy name for a child not a grown woman

It’s also the name of a cow or cat

Not a fan

kellybean18 · 20/08/2020 20:08

Gonna buck the trend and say it’s a bit bland - sorry! Very popular where I am.

TenThousandSpoons · 20/08/2020 19:39

Lovely.

CharlieBoo · 20/08/2020 19:26

Beautiful name

Foxinthechickencoop · 19/08/2020 21:55

I love it. Great name. I do know a lot of them though. But that might not put you off. It is a really pretty name.

MikeUniformMike · 19/08/2020 21:55

Depends on the surname but it's pretty.

IlanaWexler · 19/08/2020 21:54

Love it, I suggested it for DD but DH vetoed it for being a "stripper name" Hmm

frolicmum · 19/08/2020 21:51

Thank you! My little boy is a Louis so I believe this would work x

PoodleMoth · 19/08/2020 19:39

It's lovely! I know one a toddler and she always gets compliments on it

Joolsin · 19/08/2020 19:27

I absolutely love it (my Daisy is 26!)

Oneandabean · 19/08/2020 18:38

It’s really lovely, I would consider it if it wasn’t so popular

Sunshines123 · 19/08/2020 11:56

Beautiful name

Lilybet1980 · 19/08/2020 11:41

I quite like the name in itself, but I can’t stop myself thinking daisy the cow.

DramaAlpaca · 19/08/2020 11:37

It's sweet, but it's on the cutesy side so not my sort of name.

As a childhood diminutive of Margaret it's fine.

August20 · 19/08/2020 10:40

Yep it's one of the more obscure nicknames!
