Has anyone heard of this name?

Would you pronounce it Kay or Kie - lor?

Boy or girl?

If I heard it, I'd assume it was "Kayla" (female), ditto pronounced kai-luh, I'd perhaps anticipate a Cadhla (female). Seeing it written down, I'd expect a boy.

(yes Kayla and Sailor rhyme in my accent before we descend into arguments about rhoticity again)

My mum said she came across it on an American tv show for a little girl, I had never heard it before, but had assumed it was for a boy, hence the thread, as was interested see if anyone had heard of it.

Rhymes with Sailor, male......(.I don’t care what people think but )I’d imagine very chavvy parents. Sorry, judging the heck out of it but that’s not a name.

I've seen Kailer in the records a couple of times, for boys. Would assume it's pronounced to rhyme with Sailor. Can't say I'm a fan.

Ooof, it's bad. I would imagine a boy (as Kai is masculine, and Sailor can be either), but I'd feel pretty bad for him.

I’d think it rhymed with Sailor and was one of the worst most unfortunate names I had ever encountered. Poor kid.

I would expect it to rhyme with Taylor/Sailor.

Written down my immediate reaction is boy, but spoken aloud it might be confused with Kayla so I would probably expect a girl if I heard the name.

Personally I don't like it.

I’d pronounce it to rhyme with Sailor.

Not sure of usual gender as it “looks” more male but both Sailor & Kayla (which it would sound like) are both female. So unisex possibly.
