Surname will be Jones.

Or if anyone has some suggestions I would love to hear them. Such a difficult decision

Old school mate sorry

IndiaMay · 18/08/2020 20:40

I honestly know 2 Mila Grace's under 3. One a co workers daughter, one an only school mates I'm still friends with on fb (so not the same circle) but still, I'd imagine it's a bit like calling your child Emma Louise in the 90s

JemimaTiggywinkle · 18/08/2020 18:25

Unless you are a big Grace Jones fan, I would pick a different middle name

wholellamalove · 17/08/2020 22:34

Personally love it - it's been back and forth on the top of our list too, however think we've decided Grace is just a bit too popular as a middle name (but it sounds so pretty!!)

Some others on our list are

Mila Brooke (this is probably the name we've chosen)
Mila Simone
Mila Emelle
Mila Seren
Mila Nicole

sunyla · 16/08/2020 12:58

Mila Grace is beautiful!

PoodleMoth · 14/08/2020 20:29

Like Mila and it's not at all common where I live. Not keen on Grace, Rose or Beth for middle names.

Whatsyourflava · 14/08/2020 12:21

Mila is a lovely names I don't know any

Mila Beth is lovely

How about

Mila Clementine
Mila Violet
Mila Edith
Mila Margaret
Mila Martha (I love alliteration but maybe you don't)
Mila Liberty
Mila Pearl
Mila Roseanne or Roxanne

CaffiSaliMali · 14/08/2020 12:05

I like Mila. If you want a more unusual middle name than Grace/Rose, how about:

Mila Juliet
Mila Alexandra
Mila Penelope
Mila Katharine
Mila Rosalind/Rosamund/Rosalie/Rosemary
Mila Elizabeth
Mila Verity
Mila Victoria
Mila Beatrice
Mila Caroline
Mila Felicity

minnieok · 14/08/2020 09:04

Mila Elizabeth is nice, added advantage is she could use her traditional middle name if she prefers as an adult for work etc - popular names now can end up as the unpopular names in the future. Lots of Gary's and Tracey's when I was at school, now none (other than the teachers).

JorisBonson · 14/08/2020 08:59

Grace Jones Hmm

GoshHashana · 14/08/2020 08:44

Mila is ok but sounds like a brand of contraceptive. Plus the issue with pronunciation. Grace is dreadful.

janetmendoza · 14/08/2020 01:55

Not keen on Mila and would have pronounced it Miller before reading upthread. What about Della, Delia, Reeva, Rita, Celia, Keavy?

worstwitch18 · 14/08/2020 01:39

I like Mila Grace. I don't like Mila Beth, but I do like Mila Elizabeth although that is two vowel sounds close together.

Fairybobbin · 13/08/2020 23:08

Just be warned (from personal experience) to prepare yourself that you will be asked ALOT if it's pronounced Meela or Myla or have it said incorrectly....

We obviously love the name, it's pretty versatile with middle names so have fun experimenting and try sounding out all sorts of combinations

DoTheMaccaroni · 13/08/2020 21:59

Thought*

DoTheMaccaroni · 13/08/2020 21:59

Ugh sorry but I think Mila Beth sounds awful Confused I’m shocked so many people like it! I’ve always found Beth to be very blah though. Anyway others seem to love it so if you love it that should be the one Smile but maybe give it some more though

Raindrop87 · 13/08/2020 21:21

I love it, it's a beautiful name!

Enderman · 13/08/2020 20:19

I really don’t like Mila, to me it’s just made up sounding (I know all names are made up at some point). It’s just a bit samey as so many other names, it makes me think ‘meh’.

And Grace is the go to middle name with Rose and May. It’s the Louise of the 80s. I think it will date.

daisypond · 13/08/2020 18:19

Mila is fine. But I think you need a longer middle name than Grace. I love Grace as a first name but not as a middle name. Something with at least two or three syllables and some consonants.

123Dancewithme · 13/08/2020 18:13

I’m not keen. Mila is going to date badly.

Dinosauraddict · 13/08/2020 17:02

I like Mila, but as an alternative I know someone who recently had a Mileah (mil-ee-ah), could be an idea.

Mogtheforgetfulmum · 13/08/2020 16:58

Mila Beth is a lovely sounding combination!

DramaAlpaca · 13/08/2020 15:50

I like Mila Beth much better than Mila Grace or Mila Rose because it's just a bit different. Grace and Rose are so popular as middle names these days.

sitckmansladylove · 13/08/2020 14:32

I think it's absolutely beautiful and have never heard the name. Grac ed is a middle name so it won't matter if it's overused as we don't tend to use them in everyday life. I would go for it.

Spied · 13/08/2020 14:30

I love Mila and Grace but I don't like them together. It somehow cheapens them - if that makes sense.
