Me and DH recently discovered the name kitty and thought it could be an option for our DD. Any thoughts??

Katherine “Kitty” would be best for professional purposes and for flexibility if she wants a more formal name. Jane Austen did it, so why not you?

It depends on the local accent. In my area it would most likely be pronounced Ki-ee (Ki pronounced as in kit but without the T, ee pronounced as in fee but without the F) and that would put me off.

I like it but I wouldn't do as previous posters have advised and put something else on her birth certificate

It's cute! I know a kitty in her 20s very cool name

caramac04 · 12/08/2020 17:33

Love it but agree Katherine on birth certificate

MikeUniformMike · 12/08/2020 17:33

It's fine apart from Hello Kitty.

PaundryLouder · 12/08/2020 17:32

It's ok but make it Katherine on the birth cert.
