We both like the name James. I find it so handsome and classic but maybe underused for babies now a days and more of a middle spot?

Do you think it's too boring or would you be surprised to hear a baby James? Any other alternative short suggestions?

For girls, we like short names, again, that is probably less used. We like Lara and Mae so far. Just putting feelers out for any similar suggestions?

James is the most classic name there is!
Perfect choice and not too overused

I wouldn't be surprised to meet a baby James at all.
James is still widely used as a first name. However while it's popular it's not faddy. You should definitely go for it.

Oh I love Faye as a suggestion - thank you. I think Jude is becoming a little too trendy for us but John is great. Luke is a little too of our era to love as we grew up with too many annoying Luke's 🤣

I dont know any baby James' so its maybe not that well used

Luke is in the 80's of top 100 so not too common. Other one syllable names could be John or Jude.

For girls there is Faye, Tara, Hannah
