Which do people prefer? The rest of the full name will be Samuel Holding. Thanks Smile

This is a hard one for me as I really love both names (and couldn't use either because DH is an "A"!) but I think Adam works better in the combination you're thinking of.

danascully96 · 12/08/2020 18:39

Alexander with “Alec” for short!

babydisney · 08/08/2020 03:22

Adam absolutely, Alexander is over used.

VenusClapTrap · 06/08/2020 18:35

Adam by a country mile. Really dislike Alexander.

AntiAuntieAnty · 06/08/2020 13:59

Adam Smile.

Melabela10 · 06/08/2020 13:55

WE are in London and both ALexander and Adam are in top 10 names according to ONS, but in the rest of the UK Adam is less common, i would still prefer Alexander

notdaddycool · 04/08/2020 00:37

Samuel Adams is a beer! Probably far enough removed you’d need to be weird to make the link.

Bouledeneige · 03/08/2020 22:06

I prefer Alexander

AnnaSW1 · 03/08/2020 21:57

Adam. I love it

Eminybob · 03/08/2020 21:46

Alexander. I’m biased a have a gorgeous 20 month old one Smile

finallychangedmyusername · 03/08/2020 21:32

I have one, so Adam! Alexander is also great though.

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/08/2020 21:06

Like both but prefer Adam as it's less common

Flymetothestars · 03/08/2020 10:40

Both really great names!

Onestepup · 03/08/2020 08:26

Alexander

peterpan765 · 03/08/2020 08:13

Alexander sounds much better than Adam

BadTattoosAndSmellLikeBooze · 03/08/2020 00:53

Alexander is lovely. I’m not keen on Adam. I don’t know anyone under 45 called Adam.

123Dancewithme · 03/08/2020 00:46

Love Alexander!

Porridgeoat · 03/08/2020 00:16

Adam is a bit 80s but not cool. Alexander is a timeless classic

gillybombilly · 03/08/2020 00:15

Love them both, but Adam for me.

CaviarAndCigarettes · 02/08/2020 22:58

Both excellent names, and love the middle name too.
I lean towards Adam

itsaratrap · 02/08/2020 22:56

Like them both. Adam probably nudges it.

Winecheesesleep · 02/08/2020 22:55

Alexander is my favourite Smile

unstableunicorn · 02/08/2020 22:36

Like them both, Alexander slightly more since you can shorten it but I think Adam goes better with the rest. Can't really go wrong with either though

IndecentFeminist · 02/08/2020 22:35

Both lovely. Alexander goes better with the rest of the name though.

katy1111 · 02/08/2020 22:35

One of my earliest memories is about the name Adam. My parents used to call me a little madam. Then when I started playschool I swore blind to my mum there was a little boy named 'Madam', obviously he was an Adam.
