(And I don't mean you wouldn't use because there are close family members etc who have the name. I mean more that you absolutely love, but don't have the balls to use)

Mine is....

Demetrious.

I have known a few in my time and absolutely love the name, but not sure I could do it...

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Anemone
Narcissa

Willow. Have loved it since Buffy but tbh DH and I both went through a porky phase around the age of 10 (both the type to grow ‘out’ then ‘up’, even if we were both totally normal height/weight by 15) and I just think it’s too much of a risk that any DD will follow us. Chubby pre-teen Willow just feels a bit mean Blush

I have a cousin Demetria / Demi

I love Tigerlilly, Clementine and Florence.
I really like Sebastian too and it seems to be becoming more common, we have two in my school now whereas growing up it seemed very posh

Laszlo - with zero Hungarian links this would be startlingly unexpected but have always loved this name and some other middle European names.

Gummibares · 29/07/2020 06:39

Wow, lots of great normal names that should have been used imo!

I particularly like Clementine, Athena, Conrad, Orlando, Alistair. I wonder why some people feel the need for bravery to use them? I love them.

OccasionalNachos · 29/07/2020 01:07

Ariadne
Clementine
Lucifer

And Tom, because combined with our surname it all goes a bit Neville Neville

HermioneMakepeace · 29/07/2020 01:04

Maximilliano. That's 6 sylables! It was the name of a boy in my son's class. I think it's a fantastic name, alas we are neither grand enough nor exotic enough to use it.

bridgetreilly · 29/07/2020 01:02

@Beekeeper1, then I shall hope you do have a daughter!

Maduixa · 29/07/2020 01:01

Precious always loved it.

Beekeeper1 · 28/07/2020 23:53

@bridgetreilly and @2tired2bewitty - Hephzibah is an absolutely beautiful name and I would use it in a flash if I had a daughter

NavyBerry · 28/07/2020 23:52

Loveday

scrivette · 28/07/2020 23:51

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 28/07/2020 23:36

Fox. No child of mine would ever suit the name Fox.

Littlebirdie123 · 28/07/2020 23:34

Arbella because we've got Leeds accents and everyone would think we were saying R'Bella.

RedRec · 28/07/2020 23:31
