(And I don't mean you wouldn't use because there are close family members etc who have the name. I mean more that you absolutely love, but don't have the balls to use)

Mine is....

Demetrious.

I have known a few in my time and absolutely love the name, but not sure I could do it...

I have 4 dc and wanted to call each one Clementine (Clemmie) for short.
I first heard it when I was a TA and we had a really cheeky, curly haired Clemmie with lots of freckle. She was really naughty but highly amusing and lovable child.
But my dh was not having it. First 3 were boys anyway and never got to use it on my only daughter! 😔

Willow - sounds ridiculous with our surname.

Hi, I have found one interesting list of names that many love but never use. You can refer it here: www.edspire.co.uk/year_2017/08/30/10-baby-names-i-love-but-probably-will-never-use/

Lisa and Roger

But decided that everyone would expect to see a person in their 40’s or or older rather than a little baby so went with names which are more of their time.

Mommabear20 · 14/08/2020 17:47

Lucifer, Amenadiel, Cleopatra, Ophelia, Bellatrix, Ragnar, Lagathar

curlymacv · 14/08/2020 17:39

For girls: Artemis, Zipporah, and I really love Leto but not sure I could get away with it.
For boys: Aramis, Kit

MarieeBarone · 13/08/2020 13:57

Fox, Rex, Gus for boys. Probably due to knowing husband would veto. Noëlle for a girl for same reason!

Girls
Brooklyn
Kendall

I like a lot of the unisex style names that are a lot more common in the US but would get torn to shreds in the UK

For a boy I love Orlando but would never be brave enough

PoodleMoth · 13/08/2020 10:16

Elvis

Maverick66 · 07/08/2020 21:33

Nancy simply because her nickname Would most likely be Fancy Nancy

AdriannaP · 07/08/2020 21:17

Ah! If I have another DG I might consider it - my DC1 has an old fashioned name too. @Bettie2192

Bettie2192 · 07/08/2020 13:42

@AdriannaP I LOVE Agnes it’s so adorable, there’s a bloke on the radio station I listen to who always talks about his little girl Agnes 😊 you should definitely use it!

AdriannaP · 07/08/2020 10:59

I also like Agnes but bit scared it’s too old fashioned

uglyface · 07/08/2020 09:07

@clemmie22 Great to hear from an actual Clementine! Can I be nosey and ask your middle name? I'm really struggling for one that goes!
